When doctors at Nationwide Children's Hospital realized that Sophie's bowel was growing outside of her body, they knew that she would need to be delivered two months early for emergency surgery. After undergoing two surgeries, Sophie still needs a feeding tube for now, but doctors hope that soon she will be able to eat food just like any other child.
