Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, feels "relieved" that she no longer has to curtsy to Meghan Markle since she no longer outranks her, according to a friend of the former Countess of Wessex.
If I saw Markle in real life I'd honestly swear at her because she's so disgusting. The great thing about being a commoner is I can do what I like and no one can force me to bow to that narcissist.
Markle had the opportunity to show young girls of her background that skin color doesn't matter, yet she chose to make it all about race and left out the grace.
Sadly she did race relations no favor in both the US and the UK, she has contributed to the worst that race relations have fought for and has made at least the trust in race relations go back decades based on how she took advantage of a nation going through racial tensions. Along with given platforms to others who also make race relations worse in the UK, she's damaged both countries more than people initially realized. The only silver lining is seeing her downfall in that the average person can look to her as a prime example to be weary of the woke movement, it is destructive and produces nothing but greed to the reckless.

On further thought, Sophie may still have to curtsy to Nutsmeg in the presence of Prince Hawwy, because a royal's spouse takes the rank of their royal-born partner in their presence, as Hawwy outranks Edward in the line of succession. For example, the York princesses have to curtsy to Catherine if she is with William, but not in his absence because as blood princesses who are in the line of succession no matter how far, they outrank Catherine when she is without William because she won't ever be in the line of succession. Before she was given her Princess of Wales title, Catherine had to curtsy to Beatrice and Eugenie when she isn't with William. If taking into account that the Edinburghs are working royals and presumably retaining the styling of HRH, then Sophie may not have to curtsy to Nutsmeg, who lost their HRH rank although she is still also officially known as Princess Henry of the United Kingdom.

I always admired Prince Edward for his international Charity work n followed his work n his beautiful wife Sophie because he reminds me of his mother our beloved late Monarch n his Charity work.They were never in the Celebrity lime light like the other Royals with their glam n spotlight News coverage. It's not about attaining "celebrity status" but loyalty to the Crown n carrying out Charity work. The late Princess Diana despite her heavy royal duties still carried out local charity work dragging Harry n William along that is why she was "universally adored n loved". The title has more clout than the Sussex as it’s a more prestigious one and a great responsibility comes with it. It might also happen that now the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will be seating in the front row seats and not having to be with the Harry and plus one in the second row anymore. I’m so looking forward to the Coronation.

As an American who has a great love and respect for the British Royal Family, the British people, and all their customs I cannot even begin to tell you how Miss Markle has embarrassed and angered me with her horrendous, malicious, and treacherous words and actions against the beautiful family and country she married into… She does not speak for me, her actions/words do not represent me or a good majority of other American’s, and I want to apologize for everything she’s done and that woman is truly repugnant to me.

Harry and Meghan could have 'bowed out gracefully' to move to Meghan's hometown, Hollywood (or a nearby expensive, exclusive enclave of celebrities and entertainers) for Hollywood is where she belongs. But instead, they threw grenades back at the RF, burn the bridge, sank the ship, shot down the plane and blew up the train. In other words, even with their titles and children's titles, there is no going back for Meghan nor Harry.

Because Harry was born a Prince and comes under the law of succession. It doesn't matter where he lives he will always be a Prince. The term HRH was removed as they are not working royals. So they are not addressed as their royal highnesses. I don't think the D &D of Sussex part would be taken away it was bestowed on by the Queen. What does it really matter the line of the throne will follow down through William and George etc and H & M will move further away from it. Especially if they want to stay in the US, aristocracy doesn't mean much in the states. They will be famous rich people, with a background of royalty from England, that they don't really have anything to do with. It will all be in name and family history. H & M children will marry US citizens I would imagine ,and there children will have ordinary names no titles. Ends there really.
The late queen allowed them to keep the tites because she thout it will be easier for the crown. Good for her that she didnt live to see how far down can Harry and Megan go. Megs would NEVER have curtsied like that to the Queen.....the Queen would have known that she was being mocked, and would never have given Harry permission to marry her. (that's why Harry looked a bit dumfounded at Megs' curtsey on the TV...it never happened.) Not only did Megs say Sarah Ferguson taught her how to curtsey before she met the Queen for the first time....Sarah NEVER would have curtsied like that!! but on her CV for acting jobs, Megs wrote that she had taken ballet.....you MUST curtsey to the teacher after every class. Either she has a terrible memory or Megs never took ballet. ps Harry could have married Megs anyways, even if the Queen HADN'T given permission, but then he would no longer have been Royal...and i doubt Megs would have had him then.

Know what would make this whole situation better? Getting the ball rolling to strip the titles and every perk those two had cashed on! THAT is going to be the ONLY way for Markle to let go of Harry. Because this wasn't done sooner, Harry will not only have to deal with the consequences of losing Frogmore, or the favor of everyone worldwide, but of what he has shared while still connected to those titles, he risks losing his kids for practically advertising psychedelic drugs showing any divorce court he is unfit to be a parent. The longer those two have those titles to merch off here in the US, the harder it is going to be for Harry the day he walks back to his family hanging his head in shame.

Megan can have her opinion but as Harry's wife, considering who he is, her opinion should be kept private. You don't mock your royal husband's family on television in front of him. You could tell Harry knew this as a man, you could clearly see it on his face but clearly see that he had relinquished his pecker to his wife when he allowed her to publicly embarrass him without speaking up at the moment. Everybody should NOT curtsy to MM and just ignore her...give her a taste of her own medicine. It will be interesting to see if she curtsies to Kate, which under protocol, she must do. She'll HATE it! LOL She didn't even curtsy to the Queen at her wedding, it's doubtful she will to Kate if she can avoid it. I think having them at the coronation, with all the opportunities for them to steal the limelight, will be an act Charles will sorely regret. Further, if he doesn't put the Harkles in their place, he may very well lose William, and there goes the future of the monarchy. No one will accept the Harkles as future king and queen.

the actress and her "Medieval Times" restaurant line, there's only 9-10 or so in the Entire United States/Canada, most people have never heard of it, unless you live near one. I've been to the one in CA, and it's nice, but there's no grand curtseying, etc. It's a restaurant with jousting as it's floor show.

I am American also. I learned to curtsy when I was younger as well and can still do it. Most of my adult life, I was never put in situations where I had to curtsy.
