As soon as Kevin found one of the people he killed in Gehenna I was just waiting for the "professor" to show up. I was surprised when that woman showed up as well. Even in Hell she managed to be so cruel to Kevin. That was brutal to watch, but it's good that Ries was there for him at that time. I'd imagine Kevin would go insane if he was there all alone.

Without a doubt, the darkest, most shocking, and most depressing moment of any RPG, nay, any game I have ever played. The revelation. This music. The fact that there aren't even any witty chest comments. Nearly 3 whole games of them, then all you ever see here is... "The chest is empty." It really drives the point home even further.

The irony of where this theme is used is horrifying yet perfect

My favourite track in 3rd along with "The Final Choice". The combined feelings of fragility, vastness and spirituality, later tradegy and depression are strongly present. Perfectly describes the story parts it's used in.

The first 20 seconds of this track hits me every damn time. It doesn't matter how long I have it on loop. Fucking hell man, I was an innocent little lad when I played this game and got into Star Door 15. A bright lad who believed the world was all sunshine and rainbows. The Chest Is Empty...............

Sometimes, one skips a soundtrack on his Playlist. But when this plays, one is too afraid to skip it. It's a Soundtrack that tells you that if you dare to skip it, it will haunt you into your dreams.

The part from 1:07 onwards really emphasises the sadness and despair of the track and the overall mood of the scenes it plays in.

Star door 15 shattered my heart

One of the darkest games in the series

"In a place where light dares not shine; that is plunged so deep into darkness that the most damned of souls are the few and only residents around, rests a door that emits a slight glow around it's surroundings. One would think the radiance of the door's light would be a solace for anyone foolish enough to venture to this forsaken plane. Little do they know the door, while emitting a glow that would beguile passerby's to consider venturing to what lies behind it, locks away a secret. A secret that will scar all who gaze upon it with a brand of desolation and despair: sometimes, the most putrid, destructive, pervasive, and will-breaking monsters are not beast or even demons. Far from it, it can be a being in the guise of a fellow mortal man, who not only dares to stare into the abyss, but chooses to envelop themselves in it's depths, and cast the abyss' influence to others, corrupting those beings into a form almost unrecognizable to the world that knew them..."

They are lucky Renne flew away on time before the collapse, otherwise Phantasma would've attached HER trauma to shape itself. Joshua was already healing from his trauma by then so Kevin was a close second after Renne.

im only on azure but i have a good feeling sky 3rd chapter 7 will still be my favorite chapter in the series when its all said and done. quite simply one of the best experiences of my life

Open door 15, listen to this music, be prepared for the absolute worst. It even topped my worst fears. One of the creepiest moments in videogames I have ever had, if not the creepiest so far.

I've played through these games a lot. Even to this day, I let this play, I tear up intensely in 10 seconds flat. The memories of what this track represents come flooding back.

These feels made me feel feels I never thought I would feel.

Ah yes, that music. I had succeded to forget it, but now that I hear it again, now that I remember what happens when this music play, I can't help but be on the verge of crying just by listening to it... 10/10 would hear, play and be traumatised again.

Every time I hear it, I feel like my heart is being torn apart, Poor Renne...

Probably my favorite track. So moving.

Y'know, if I heard this out of context, I'd say 0:00-1:05 sounds almost mystical. 1:05-1:15 genuinely sounds playful. Then the sad violin part comes in at 1:15 and I would say it's like the music for an old person reminiscing a sad life filled with tragedies. Of course, I DO know the context, so this song'll always bring back memories of that.

when I hear this track in kuro no kiseki 2, all the memories about this game flash back.

I know that the game never specifies what happens to Renne, but we all know WHAT happens, so sad, one of the most horrific scenes in a videogame ever.

Can't listen to this, continuation of the dream and Hamel without tearing up.

As Bob Ross would often say, "you need the dark to show the light". This is how our world works, without these differing qualities, we'd not be able to distinguish one thing from the other. As such, as sad and dark as this may be I find this to also bear a strange kind of beauty. I do not mean to say that something like that Paradise story should ever happen at all but only by getting to know such things and feelings as these can we truly appreciate joy and happiness. Without this we'd have no orientation whatsoever, nothing to show us the way.

0:22 to 0:30 is the most hellish part of the song. The quiet F flat is like a desperate prayer, and when it becomes F natural at 0:26 it's like God is turning away.
