After exchanging posts with a Magic fan I thought of a trade beneficial to both teams although I still think Josh will be a star, but Josh for Isaac. although I don’t think either team wishes to give up the players. The Magic have some meshing problems and I’m sure Sam wants to see if they can use Josh correctly.
@@riroballs Yes. The one thing missing about Josh in his many criticisms is he is big and a good defensive rebounder. I think we forget that Mark is a very young coach who will learn from his experiences just as JKidd did. Kidd was not a good coach his first go around but is a terrific one now.
Almost all teams have 3 bona-fide ones. We just need at least one more to rotate with Chet and JWill. For crying out loud, don't get rid of JWill, his sacrificing his body and his chemistry is too valuable. We need to add to the one instead of subtracting.
tobias harris is a victim of recency bias. people hate him because he was overpaid in Philly but the guy can hoop. he will be a good addition as a vet on a mid scale deal
The only problems with okc Chet- Rookie Cason Wallace- Rookie Giddey- 21 years old Jdub- year 2 Not realizing the difference in playoff basketball due to inexperience.. which now they have some
It had nothing to do with our beef down low, had to do with dub and Chet not being ready for the big show. Dub wasn’t mentally prepared for it and Chet wasn’t physically prepared for it, after playing a full season not missing a game. Not going to beat a team like Dallas win two out of your three big three are shooting that badly .
@@ayriusores272 17 turnovers for yall too. I’m sure it had nothing to do with Game 6-36% from three, and 47% fg with Chet/dort going 3/14 from 3. Game 5- 25% from 3 and dub disappearing. The big 3 was the big 1 all series and the bench disappearing didn’t help. Dallas had 82 turnovers compared to 63 from okc. Okc didn’t lose bc the rebounding, they lost bc of poor shooting and free throw shooting in clutch. Okc was 1st in 3s and blocks this year, 2nd in pts and fga, and was 2nd in defense. Yes, rebounding matters somewhat, but if okc shot anywhere near their normal percentage then they win easily.
Hartenstein would not be a backup. I´d start him at C and Chet at PF. Btw Hartenstein used to be a shooter but somehow he doesn´t anymore. I saw him at 15 yrs of age bringing up the ball, stopping at the 3pt line and swishing a 3. He got that in his bag
I’m not paying hartenstein 100 ms if I’m okc and they’re saying that’s how much he is going to be worth this off season seems like chandlers parsons and Davis Bertans 2.0 in my opinion
@@tannervolz3035 They'd be out of their mind to trade 6 first round picks for Deni . You put him on the Thunder, and Deni is lily a 12 pt, 7 rebound guy. A lot of value and worth a couple firsts for sure, but not a guy you open the vault and give up 6 picks for
A lot of discussion about DaRon Holmes being taken at pick 12. I suspect the thunder will improve via the draft and free agency. Not via a big trade where they lose important assets.
@@DaffyTaffy93no he can't first off he lost value in the playoffs and second he's under a rookie contract. He OKC try to extend his contract with a big figure they'll be stuck with him like Chicago with Lavine
@@DaffyTaffy93were number 1 in drives per game and Giddy is a non shooter Make it make sense man not saying he’s a not a good player but he doesn’t fit THIS roster
The Knicks, while offering IHart less money, they will offer more years and also a starting spot in the rotation. Does IHart leave Knicks for more monet as a backup? How about at trade with the Knicks for Mitch Rob?
While I think the Thunder could get Lauri and Hartenstein and be a big favorite next year. I don't think they will. I think Presti is very slow in his team building and to them they are likely to only make minor plays
Demar with Claxton and that will carry them very far even against the likes of Denver and the wolves and Dallas if they don't second round every year is all
@@joed7185lol. Absolutely no shot Edey will be drafted in the top 5. The guy would be lucky to slide into the lottery since he doesn’t fit in the modern NBA.
Don’t act like we can’t trade up for Alex Sarr we literally got his bro on g league and more picks than we know what to do with, also I hate the idea of adding deni that’s not the okc way, we’d rather develop giddey which I prefer
I mean if we can trade up for Sarr then that's definitely a no-brainer. A Chet-Sarr frontcourt would be insane. Both the Hawks and Wizards probably wouldn't pass up on drafting that kind of talent though
You can't because teams want proven players. We seen that at the trade deadline where everyone was turning down draft picks. Teams only wanted draft picks because Wemby was available.
Not a okc fan but i definitely feel they can sneak up and win a ring the way the nba is going the type of team they got is built to win They got 3-D wings SA a Superstar who still young Chet if they can add a good player who in his prime and got a ring or knowledge they can do damage even A KD type
Almost every big star signing added nothing to teams who made them. And I think Sam made it clear he wasn’t going to something for the sake of doing something. If Sam is patient, I am patient. Look at Hartenstein’s last 5 playoff games. I’d be very interested in Allen but I’d be also in on Isaiah Stewart, not a center but he is nasty and can shoot and block shots. Harris is terrible. Why?
@@riroballs Agreed. First, Chet will be way different, bigger stronger and will have a different offensive game. Second, if Ous, with 10-15 more pounds might turn into a Giannis-lite. Three, I’m expecting Josh to figure out his role and expecting him to also add muscle. And Cason to become an aggressive point. That is 4 conceivable jumps, with Chet being the oldest. And I haven’t figured out why the Pistons were so dysfunctional given their talent at every position. Beef Stew away from that roster could flourish at OKC. And we’ll get a rotational piece but who knows what we can get. I do like the kid from Providence but I would somehow love to get Knecht. Really like Furphy for this team. Thanks for your work.
3 of thier 5 starters & all of thier major bench players are 1st & 2nd year players, they have more talent on the team that hasn't really had a chance yet, to see how good they can be, this team really needs another 2 or 3 years of development to even see what it has & it's going to need that cap space to pay thier guys in the future. Taking playing time from the guys on the team now doesn't seem like a good move to me, if they need something else? draft it, they have the picks
OKC needs to add a few beasts to help Chet. Saw a Larry Bird tribute to Bill Walton. He said we already had 2 future HOF's at the one in Parrish & McHale, but when we got Walton, nobody could touch us.
people need to stop acting like Tobias Harris can't score and can't hoop. he was overpaid in Philadelphia but OKC signing him to a 15M a year deal would be a steal
Tobias Harris is a victim of recency bias. He was hated because he was overpaid in Philadelphia. Pay him a mid scale contract and he will be a solid bench scorer
And more context Bertans was owed 17m in 2024 and money in 2025. Hayward was a one year rental that didn’t pan out. Move on with even more cap space available. Even win Sam loses, he wins
@@riroballsteams don't want draft picks no more now that Wemby drafted. We just seen that at the trade deadline teams want proven players that can help their team now.
One thing to note with Wiggins TO is if it’s declined he becomes an RFA and because of that I except OKC to declare it and sign him to a long term deal
Sam Presti said that “this team is done”. Most likely meaning our play style is going to change. There’s strong reason to believe we’re getting a big, and their style won’t affect us as we’re going to be a different team.
i think Achuiwa would be a great fit here. He's the Aron Gordon type player that would fit the system. Although the shot isnt perfect he plays with great energy and can defend in space. I alsso think if they wanna go all in on 5 out offense Simone Fontecchio should be on there radar. A 3 and D guy with a quick release and underrated slashing game. Watched him up in personal when he played for the national team you can tell this guy plays the game the right way.
All we really need is for Chet to get stronger and better at boxing out to grab rebounds, Giddey to up his shooting, and Dub to work on playing against size and length and maybe draft Zach Edy
I don't know why people keep saying that whatever center they grab would be a back up center. That's likely not what would happen. If they were to score Hartenstein or Claxton, they would start them at the 5 and move Chet to his natural position, the 4. Then Dub at 3. Lou at 2 and SGA 1. Simple. Also, three 1st round picks would not be a big deal for Avdija. Keep in mind, at this point, they're already loaded with young talent and have a ton of future picks. They don't have enough money to pay their current roster and all of these future picks. Get rid of them! Pick up a key player now! And yes, get rid of Giddey.
Everybody should know that OKC drafted Derek Lively and traded him. Think he might have come in handy against Dallas??? As great a GM as Sam Presti is he certainly has made some goofs and this one will go down as a huge one although nothing will ever top trading Harden.
All we really need is for Chet to get stronger and better at boxing out to grab rebounds, Giddey to up his shooting, and Dub to work on playing against size and length
@@riroballs he had like 11-3-2 on 5/8 in 12 minutes then we bench him for the rest of the game even down 20 in the fourth. There were two other games like that where he was playing great and got benched smh
Absolutely and instead of taking him out of the starting lineup he should have been playing significantly more minutes. It was a huge mistake from Daignault removing him and putting in Isaiah Joe. That move was a disaster and Joe not only has no business ever being in the starting lineup but he failed miserably. He did nothing.
Sam Pesti should be fired for his terrible performance that cost he team a chance at a championship. He did the same thing 10 years ago when they didn't have a center just like this team. He HATES centers. Drafting Eddy from Purdue would certainly help this team a great deal and give them a legit chance at a title. In stead he said a 195 pounder is his center when the kid is really the proto type 4 man.
