Sorting Plugs with Gold Plated Pins 

For most scrappers it's best to pull the gold pins from plugs as you get them instead of building them up, but if your scrapping a lot of stuff then plugs can build up from a bucket full to a barrel full and sorting them will save you a lot of time when pulling the pins.

For gold recovery, sorting your gold plated pins into two grades, fully plated & partially plated does help speed up gold extraction but it's not really important, removing as much of the steel from pins will speed up the process and save on nitric acid if that's the method you use.
