I didn't notice until now. When Koro sensei reacts to the trip, he says "What?" In English. In the dub he says "Nani?". They switched the language of the word to keep the setting and I think that is really cool.

Terasaka's group finding that loophole still gives me life

I love Principal Asano. He’s so insidious and threatening, that it’s very easy to forget that, at the end of the day, he’s just a dude. A normal man. A common guy who’s only real superpower is advanced academics. Yet despite that, he’s the most terrifying antagonist of the whole show. XD

Only third year has a class E, its not really clarified in the anime but its a last chance class for the graduating students. Theres a bunch of regulations they have to adhere to and stuff. Circles mark a correct answer double ciecles are like getting a extra credit, kind of saying this was exemplary. I CANNOT WAIT for you to actually see what the trip is going to do.

For Koro-Sensei's dramatic statement after speaking to Karma and Karasuma, the dub has him bring out the old quote "The difference between a novice and a master is that the master has failed more times than the novice has tried," and while I love it, it lacks the personal touch and character insight of the original.

“I better see their home lives!” Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It went like this: - The bet: The top scorer in each of the 5 subjects is ranked, class E won 3-2. - The overall scores: Each student does every subject, and they're marked overall. The big 5 still remain near the top, but the E Class students only really succeeded in 1 course each. Karma is still the top E-Class member

Ah yes, a three days two nights Okinawa trip with *-Onizuka-sensei-* Koro-sensei.

Know I am quite late, but what Korosensei said about Karma is so true. During my law studies, I have met students who were the best in their class without working during their entire school time, just to hit the wall in university where their natural talent couldn't help them anymore and they had to struggle and failed. It is often these that make it by struggling and effort in school that actually bloom up in university simply because they know how to work through frustration and how to get stuff into their head when it becomes difficult, having methods to overcome that wall that blocks them from the future they seek.

you know it's interesting. If I remember correctly the principle does have an out that fits with the schools doctrine, but he can't use because of the circumstance of of the assassination. The point of 3E in the school is to be a nigh inescapable hell because the requirement to get out is pretty high (top 50%) with less than adequate resources, so if you want to get out, you'll have to put in even more work to do. By the students making it this far, most if not all should be qualified to move out of 3E and be replaced with an equal amount of people who scored the lowest from the other classes. By doing this, his system would still be working as intended. However because of the assassination, the kids can't be easily move out (especially on such a scale) because then you'd have to make sure they kept quiet as well as make sure the new kids also kept quiet. Then there's the problem with the effectiveness of the assassination, because now you have experienced people being swapped out with inexperienced and the whole attempt would have to start over from step 1. before anyone mentions it, I do know they try this later on with one student, I was just making a point.

I love seeing karma so blushie. He may be insane, but I love the absolutely horrible character showing weakness

Them unknowingly foreshadowing a very different set of events to what actually happens while talking about report cards is my favorite part of this week

I like a lot the relationship Asano has with his dad in this episodes, and the development he and Karma are getting over their failure.

Parents rarely take kids to school at that age... even elementary school students take the train by themselves (actually with fellow classmates). It’s possible some parents may see off or meet their kids at the airport, but that’s just wasted train fare ... the kids usually meet up and do things together, such as the school trips. It’s the job of the school (thus the teachers) to take care of them. The times parents are involved are during things like cultural and sports festivals, classroom open house once a year, and home visitations by the teachers. Well, that’s how it is anyway in Tokyo... don’t know if it’s different in more rural areas where they’d have to drive cars more often.

I find it hilarious that the dub decided to translate Korosensai's English "What!?" As "Nani!?" Always makes me double over. I love the dub for this show so much.
