The imagery of Star's Quirk destroying the stored Quirks in Shigaraki / AFO was terrifying and amazing. She went out swinging and paved the way for the heroes in the end o7
I love how smug AFO is. "Oh. I knew those comics had a different ending than the one I wanted. So I simply decided to stop reading." During his speech to Yoichi back in S5, he said he would simply remake reality if he didn't like it. But when he got his hands on a quirk that could basically remake reality, it quite literally blew up in his face. And Shigaraki's. Speaking of which, it seems to be even harder to tell the distinction between who is currently in the driver's seat. Because at one moment we see AFO thinking back on his own memories with Yoichi. But a few seconds earlier we saw Shigaraki say, "I can control decay now" and he thinks back on his fight in S6 when he woke up. It just shows how much AFO and Shigaraki have melded together. Which is honestly pretty scary. As we saw in this episode, Shigaraki basically has a nasty combo. He can immediately steal someone's quirk and then decay them once he's done. And his regeneration isn't anything to play with either. He went from having no hair and looking like bacon that had gotten a bit too burnt to perfectly fine in a few seconds. Star went out with a smile though. She understood that it was over the moment her face was grabbed. So she already had a contingency ready. A way to destroy Shigaraki from the inside out. Also, this is the second time AFO has made fun of someone for not being alive. Savage. Star gave everything to buy the world just a little more time. Because All Might inspired her on that day. Rest in peace, Cathleen Bate. She left Shigaraki and AFO with one final message. That as long as someone inherited the will of a hero, they would be struck down. And inside the mass of Shigaraki and AFO, we see Tenko Shimura think of Midoriya.
I definitely surprised myself when I started sobbing out of nowhere 😭😭😭 especially because I'm a manga reader and definitely wasn't as affected, when I read this part.
Even though she was gone as quickly as she showed up, Star and Stripe knew how to make an impact! Also, it’s always nice to see all the salutes in the thumbnails! 😅
22:43 I don't think the "idiot" is referring to Shigaraki being unable to save himself, but rather thinking that he could still successfully steal New Order. I think it wasn't explained clearly, but I understand Shigaraki's plan as this: - Give New Order to a quirkless person so it stops rebelling inside of him. - Have the person overwrite the last 2 rules. - Take back New Order and become even more OP. He expected that, after going through this process, he would be able to get a hold of New Order for himself. What he didn't realize, and the reason Star calls him a baka, is that she set everything up so that New Order would be destroyed by the other quirks in the middle of that revolt. "New Order will oppose all other quirks", meaning it will fight against other quirks, and those quirks will fight back against New Order aswell, destroying it in the process. This way, she made sure Shigaraki can never get a hold of her power. Was it a gamble her quirk would be destroyed in time? For sure, but hey, Shigaraki got lucky enough already in this fight.
*A hero doesn’t go down without a fight. If I’m being honest, even though she was only around for a little bit, it was still devastating to see this happen. We salute you, Star and Stripe!*
I love how the mental representation of Star's quirk wasn't just Star, it was this AMAZING amalgam of Star and All Might. It's that way of driving home how even through her it's All Might's inspiration coming for All for One. Basically, the best thing All Might did wasn't just being heroic, saving people and beating All for One. It was INSPIRING all of these Spectacular heroes, like Star, who are going to defeat All for One for good. He's the symbol of peace for a reason.
I fully air punched when it was like the spirit of All Might is always coming back to get Shigaraki. Heck yeah Star and Stripe...what a badass! I weirdly wasnt expecting her to die but it made sense really 😅
We're gonna miss you, Star. Two episodes but damn did she make an impact. Seeing AFO so eager for her quirk and then desperate to discard it while yelling her name in contempt? *chef's kiss*
Star going straight berserk mode in the inner Quirk realm reminds me of a lot of Incredible Hulk comics specifically a recent run in 2021where Banner had basically constructed his own mind palace where he (Banner) was the pilot of a gigantic space station, only the station was actually the body of the Hulk and the "engine" was the Hulk's personality locked up where he was just endlessly fighting wave after wave
I wish she'd been around longer, but she really showed what being a hero was all about and making the best decision. New Order literally fighting other quirks is absolutely insane.... but she's given everyone that sliver of a chance
I highly recommend checking out the artwork in the manga of the skull decaying, and fan art coloring it in, it's so awesome. Bones did such a good job!
i would say a week is alot given before they only had had three days to prepare which was why they wanted the other nations to come in the first place.
She went out like a boss. She was far too strong for the narrative to handle and she did core damage to AFS. But because we don’t know how many quirks has or how many he lost, he may as well have not lost any. He can use whatever whenever and we wouldn’t question it at all. AFO was in custody for months and they had no idea after researching it. 200 years is a LONG TIME to collect.
The anime did a great job adapting the manga fight of Star vs All for One! As a manga reader, I knew what would happen, but I was on the edge of my seat nonetheless and felt the impact and emotion. Incredible!
Am i the only one bothered by the thumbnail? What if somebody hasnt had a chance to watch the episode yet. I notice a lot of reactors posting her being decayed too
@@raec5426 I honesty unsubbed from everyone that I saw post her decayed, yaboyrocklee posted it all quick, before I had the chance to watch it and it killed me
Shigaraki probably couldn't make use of the quirk since it was busy throwing hands inside of him. He IS planning to overwrite the rule eventually, after giving it away to someone else so the quirk stops fighting back. It wasn't explained clearly, but what I understand Shigaraki's plan is is to: - Give New Order to a quirkless person - Have the person overwrite the last 2 rules - Take back New Order and become even more OP This is why Star's specter calls him an idiot. He expected, after going through this process, to still get a hold of New Order. What he didn't realize is that Star set everything up so that New Order would be destroyed by the other quirks aswell, so he could never have it for himself.
@@Orengi-kun Ah, so the quirk couldn't make new rules because it was occupied. Which would explain why Shigaraki made that guy quirkless before trying to pass it on. That makes sense, thanks for the explanation.
What the other person said, but also her presence and influence carries on far beyond this, since due to the time extention and certain other something she did most of the future events in the manga wouldn't be possible lmao. Her death WAS the purpose of her character.
@@mon0lithic629 Not in 3 episodes ;) At least the good writers are capable of utilizing a character for more than that. But it's a shonen, so we ignore it. If it were Frieren, they wouldn't be able to keep quiet about the critique.
