Beastfolk tribes, like Delta’s former tribe, tend towards a “might makes right” mentality. When she met Shadow, she felt his strength was on such a fundamentally different level, she immediately surrendered to him, recognizing him as Boss. But, when she met Alpha, she challenged her for second in command. She lost the fight, as a result, she has a fearful respect for her.
Yeah the only reason they haven't genocided the other races yet despite having almost elf-tier lifespans (w/ human-tier reproductive rate) & superhuman physical capabilities, is because they all basically have like 9IQ, so they can't rly do much long-term wise
One of the possible Cid tactics to keep power in this situation has been clearly showcased earlier in the series: He was in an antimagic zone in the Academy attack, but retooled his magic to "identify" with the one magical signature that was whitelisted by the villains. If "The Hero" can use magic to, supposedly, pull a magic sword from a magic stone, that implies "The Hero"'s magic is whitelisted, and in combat, he can learn to mimick its wavelength. So he starts by being thrown around, he's got practice flying back from blows so only taking minimal damage, until he "gets" it. I can't remember if that's what he does here, it's been a while, but precedent for him using magic in an antimagic zone caused by an artifact draining it has already been established.
4:12 Delta is a absolute ton of fun. She is easily among the best of the Seven Shadows. 6:44 I love the looks the two with Epsilon give her when her boobs fall off. And their immediate agreement that nothing happened.
Delta is not to be under estimated , she ids a top fighter and her sword Iron Slab just crushing you with sheer power ^^ she only fallowed Alphas and Shadows orders and ignored the rest as they are weaker then her lol
