She should. But very unlikely. The Oscars often ignore horror. Nobody has been nominated for lead actress for a horror performance since Kathy Bates, who won for Misery 32 years ago. If we broaden the definition of 'horror' to include thrillers with horror elements, then we could include Jodie Foster for Silence of the Lambs and Natalie Portman for Black Swan, but it's still verylittle recognition.

The ending felt forced and in my honest opinion the Caitlyn Stacey cameo should have been used a bit more instead just a few brief scenes. Sosie Bacon's character basically gives gives up in the end of the film...I did not like that at all & thought that she should have perserveed against the creature/demon ! The original short fekt scarier at times then this film; one of the doctors was in the Harold & Kumar film.
