Great collection, I enjoyed it a lot! It feels like you’ve done your homework and collected according to your own tastes. Unlike many other SOTC videos I’ve seen on YT, which usually lacks originality and instead follows trends and hypes.
What an amazing collection Dan! My favorite one out of the bunch is the Ranchero for sure. I love that you keep your childhood watches in your collection. Watches with memories attached to them are the best ones to have. I would love to see a review of your Junghans.
Thank you so much for watching and for the positive comments....I will definitely review the Junghans. I have it listed for sale. By the way, I really love your content and I'm a Subscriber.
Man, I LOVE how you still have you’re childhood watches. My first one was the original Timex Ironman. I wish I still had it. They are hard to find in good shape.
Nice collection! The ranchero is something else. But nothing beats that Batman! More videos since you have pieces that not a lot of people have covered.
Really interesting and personal collection. Nice to see something unique for once on Yt. However why the need to say a few times this is a ‘humble’ collection? You have a half dozen omega and a Rolex. Nothing humble about that for 99% of population. I find ppl who make a point of saying it’s humble when it isn’t are either embarrassed they’ve so much cash in a luxury collection, or they want ppl to think humble to them means Omega and Rolex - suggesting they move in circles where it is APs and Pateks. Anyhow it’s not a big deal. And I did love the video - so refreshing to see someone with their own style and taste and not just following the hype/crowd.
Yeah, I definite your point about "my humble collection"....I shouldn't have said that. And I meant "humble" in terms of number...Makes me think of taking down the video and re-editting it....thanks for the feedback...it means a lot.
Great collection! Your Junghans is stunning, and I'm looking forward to seeing your video of the Benrus. Also love the Serica; I use mine as a beater and its resilience is fantastic.
I adore your collection. Very much aligned with my tastes. Have you looked at IWC, particularly their older offerings more inline with the dirty dozen: Mark XII and Mark XV? I feel they bring understated elegance to the flieger watch like no other.
Very nice...thank you kindly. IWC is awesome and yes, the Mark series pieces are beautiful. My father has a gold dress IWC passed down from his father before him. At this point, my collection is only going to be shrinking as I'm not planning any future purchases. I believe that my "grail watch" is already in my box ...I just have to unclotter to see it....
Great video! Did you buy the bracelet for the Omega Geneve separately? If so, where? I have it but without the bracelet. I really like how yours looks with it.
Hello and thank you for watching and commenting. Yes, after trying many different bracelet options for the Admiralty models, I found the best option was purchasing an 18mm Uncle Seiko bracelet for the Speedmaster Reduced and then filling down the terminal links and the end links to fit the 17mm lug spacing of the Admiralty.
It's sad to see the beautiful railmaster 36mm since my recently acquired piece has been robbed in a burglary , it was my best piece🥴😕 great collection!
Hi...thanks for watching and commenting. Really sorry to hear that. That's how I lost my DateJust 16030 (I mentioned this in my Rolex Mods video) as well as 2 Tags, and all of my Omega Constellations. It's what prompted me to get a safe and an alarm system...sad world it's turning into, but it's the reality.
@@favoritethings3065 Hello again, am I wrong or are you selling the RM36? I might be interested but being in France I know I will have some taxes on top of the price...But maybe you prefer selling it in the US. By the way what pushed you to do the move? You probably decided the explorer fits you better?
@@artblend4278 hello. Yes, you are correct. I just sold the Railmaster 2504. there was too much overlap in my collection and I’m am desperate in slimming down the collection. I thought I could either sell my Explorer, the 38mm Railmaster and maybe the Ranchero and keep the 36mm Railmaster, but honestly, I am much more connected with those other watches and not the Railmaster 36 I’m afraid. Probably the bracelet issues were the biggest factor. One should be 100% with the complete watch including the ORIGINAL bracelet….and I wasn’t. It was a though call. I’m just now preparing to do a final video with the RM 36 comparing to the 38mmm. Thank you again for engaging!
@@favoritethings3065 Ohh so it's sold...Anyway thanks for your full answer. I agree the 2504 looks better on a brown vintage strap. That's what I had with an omega (real) vintage type buckle. Since the burglary I quickly replaced it with a silver dial 25043000 thinking it would ease me but although the watch is mint I can't really find my kick with this dial (although it is fantastic). I realise I need a black or brownish dial (have also a Tudor 94500 with a glossy dial which i like) Hesitating with a 114270 now 😆Still a fan of your videos!!
What a collection, I’m down to 3 watches myself. Normally I could trim the fat off other collections no problem but everything you have is amazing. Nothing wrong with liking 3,6,9 watches, I think it is the strength of your collection. I’m only buying Speedmaster myself. Personally, I would keep the Explorer, it’s the perfect daily watch, your ranchero is an amazing example (do not sell that watch ever) and both Railmasters. I love vintage Omega but avoid any vintage watch with a date normally they are a pain to set and one more thing to go wrong (said the chronograph guy). Admiralty would be next and the Seamaster, of course your sentimental watches too.
Hey!...thanks for the great comments. I recently sold the Railmaster 2504, and the Serica (I'm working on it's video now). I have listed the Junghans as it just doesn't get wrist time. It's a work on progress (as is everything!) and I thank you again for watching and commenting!
@@favoritethings3065The Serica's have had issues so I'm going to say that's maybe for the best. The trilogy is better than the 2504 and I'm not a fauxtina fan but really like the trilogy. You have great taste, will be interesting to see what path you take. You got a sub. Love this sort of rare channel, a deep dive into the collectors mind.
@@Mr-Merchant. kind words and thanks for subscribing. Sounds like you really know your stuff...I like your taste as well. The Serica was great, but had to trim the fat. I'll try to explain my issues with it, they were not mechanical in nature.
I've decided to sell the Junghans. Alex from WatchCrunch did a great review here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H2sxWL3EPBI.htmlsi=WQlvuHxVH19fAtCf and there's not much more that I can add.
