My Thoughts - This is a hard soap so the artisan recommends adding warm water then loading the brush and face lathering. But did I follow the instructions...no ! I scooped and bowl lathered. And it turned out well. The soap made a very nice lather. soft smooth and rich. It has a wonderful scent, (Acqua di Gio). And the Titan razor worked extremely well with it.
I took the shave train for a 3 pass trip to BBSTown. I did a quick 2 pass on the dome and all went well.
The splash has more of the citrus scent with lavender coming over the top scent. But, It had a wake up feeling on the dome and the face that was refreshing.
G eau cologne. is a really good homage (I have the frag oil and compared it). It is a close dupe, with a citrus forward punch. 6 hours later (after the application) it is starting to lighten up.
The @headblade continues to not disappoint.
My advice: The 70th anniversary soap/splash is worth the price. G'eau for under $10.00 is a bargin of a dupe. Antica Barberi products are 1st class.
