I found this track is very unique among Khan Super Session, especially among male fighters in Soul Edge/Blade. They don't make Siegfried's theme too rock or electronic, just very modern to fit his character. Also, I do think the 1:19 transition from orchestral to modern warfare movie genre is the best part along with the crescendo at 3:01 right before the end chorus.
Omg... look Siegfried here, just a kid... I'm very impressed with his new look in Soul Calibur V, he's 39 in that game... the time goes so fast... and SCV will rock, haven't you seen it yet? GO !
This theme, sounds more in tune with his other themes then the original for soul blade. this theme has that soulcalibur V or soulcalibur 2 vibe to it :) I can picture a redone version of this theme!
I agree completely, it's a fantastic piece of music that also fits his stage. Having this cranking while the castle is being besieged by enemy forces is something else. Gets the blood pumping, that's for sure.
Why did they replace the main character of series (back when it was actually really good.) with someone horrible like Patroklos? I guess Siegfried stepped down voluntarily as protagonist because he already knew that SCV was gonna be bad and didn't want to be the main hero of a crappy game. Honestly, Namco need to drop Patrashklos and reinstate Siegfried while returning the Soul series to the glory that Soul Blade set up rather than bastardising the series with this "new" direction that they're taking.
+Wonder if I gave an Oreo to the Big Bad Wolf " _I am going to live the rest of my life in this forest with my sister. We're going to be happy together._ " - Patroklos.
To be fair: Namco never explored Siegfried as much as they should, they focused way too much on Nightmare (which is logic, but it's known that Siegfried was still aware of what was happening) and when Siegfried got the spotlight, they never went too deep. Siegfried is a very layered, complex character that can offer much more. SCVI is promising to show us what was up with Siegfried. And if they fuck up I'll never forgive them.
3 years later, I return to say that they seemed to have listened, got rid of the horrible "new main" SCV characters and put the proper characters back. I'm happy so far and hoping they don't goof anything up, so let's all hope SCVI goes well. It's great that it seems to be going back to what the series was, at least. I'd be even happier if we got Hwang back but that's a whole new story.
GrimangelX4 Each to their own. World would be boring if everyone liked and hated the same things. I was rather disappointed when Hwang disappeared from the games because it took away from a potentially realistic rivalry that could have been between him and Mitsurugi. I'm hoping that Hwang returns for VI, I'm not expecting it however. If so, hopefully the trend of him getting awesome themes continues and I can also have my main back.
Siegfried has some references to the Norse mythological hero Sigurd. His name is Sigurd's German name; Gram, one of Siegfried's weapons, was also Sigurd's weapon; and in Soul Calibur Legends, Siegfried slays a dragon called Fafnir, which Sigurd slew in the myth.
Soulcalibur Legends is a huge reference to Sigurd/Siegfried, actually. Paracelsus tells Siegfried the myth of Sigurd as a way to "guide him" into seeing the truth, to a point where Siegfried names his sword "Requiem" to mourn the loss of his father, just like Sigurd named it Requiem to mourn the loss of a friend of his who sacrificed himself to fix Sigurd's blade.
TheMadSocrates, Siegfried actually existed in Tuscany, Italy according to legend, and his real name was San Galgano, and he wielded a sword called Excalibur, that’s according to the British legend.
TheMadSocrates you’re right, there was a real life Siegfried Schtauffen in German folklore who slew a dragon named Fafnir to help Gunther win over Brunhild for a wife.

To me, this is the only theme from the Khan soundtrack that fits better than the original. That one never really had the right vibe for a character as tragic as Siegfried.
Pqp essa música eo estágio dela junto com a luta no ultra hard.. fica épico demais hehe.. amo esse jogo jogava muito no PS1. Hoje jogo ele no PSP mas e foda ainda hehe
"Jigoku e ochiro!" / "You can go to hell!" "Ototoi kiagare!" / "Come back and try again!" "Zamaa nee ze." / "Serves you right." "Sore gurai ni shitoki na." / "And that's a lesson for ya."
3P costume where he has the orange tunic. And from other games: SoulCalibur I: 2P and 3P costumes Soulcalibur III: 1P Soulcalibur IV: both if we put him long hair in the 2P one (I dislike him with short hair tbh) Soulcalibur V: 2P if we somehow hide his beard (I actually managed to do it in a custom one) SCVI: he has no 2P.
