Ive always loved this theme, its simply amazing the amount of work they put into this game. The story mode with TWO different endings per character, multiple weapons per character, edge master mode, full character bios, THREE songs per character, i can go on and on. This was definetly one of my all time favorite games on the playstation. They just dont make em like this anymore and its truly sad. This game shits all over soul calibur 5.
Andres Antonio Its always been Mitsurugi and Taki since the beginning. They've always been my favorites, tho i do like Li Long and Hwang too...too bad they were only in a few games and were replaced tho. They are better characters than Maxi and Yun-seong in my opinion.
Awesome. I like the wierd characters such as assasin, abyss and inferno. Nightmare is great to. Hwang came out in soul calibur 3 atleast, i was playing it today and he was one of the characters i played with lol that is what i love about soul 3. It has every character to ever grace the series the variety of characters is off the charts.
There was a time when depression hit me hard and nothing much inspired me so I started listening to this track and can say it lifted my spirits considerably during those hard times.
@@Wutangmethod Im glad that this OST has the power to do this. There was a point in school where I thought that I wouldnt be able to make it anymore. I lost some of my friends and wasnt passing some of my classes, but this OST raised my moods.
i would always speak along with narrator when he said his name. "li long?" like a bug in the game that was not sure who he was.made me smile every time.
+Axel Voss really? cause he says everyone else name with a sure tone. In soul caliber 3. it is not said like that. You can clearly hear the broken speech in the 1St game. like they were spiced together from separate recordings.
Can somebody please explain to him why his name is pronounced like that and why Chinese names are pronounced the way they are because I can't find the words kthnxbai.
I still play this game in 2017! Back in the 90s, I used to go to the Practice Mode, pause the game, and let this music played while I either cleaned my room or try to play my piano to learn this song. I love the Soul Blade music, and for the youngeons that dont know, Soul Blade/Soul Edge is the ORIGINAL Soul Caliber. This is where it all started. Gosh I miss the 90's
yea if someone was training to this in a movie it would be my favorite scene regardless. this is the track that legit made me notice video game music in general
Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) needs to be on Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 only right now in The 1st Original Timeline already for Hwang Sung Kyung in his 40’s While still alive he can’t be Main Canonical on Next Gens not being D.L.C he needs to be back in The Same Original Soul Calibur Games that’s Unfinished on PS2 260 PS3 & 360 as a Main Canonical Chararacter Playable for The Canonical Storyline on Soul Calibur 2 (Soul Calibur 3) and also right now today for Soul Calibur 3 (Soul Calibur 4) Instead of being a Bonus Chararacter And not as a Main Base Roster nor Actual Canonical Chararacter on The Arcade Edition Base Roster again Soul Calibur 4 (Soul Calibur 5) & Soul Calibur 5 (Soul Calibur 6) on Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 They are unfinished and incomplete He needs to have a Canonical Storyline with Seung Mina in The Same Games so he can appear in Her Ending and have a Storyline with Horiane Shueroe than also Seong Myeong as well having him as a Destined Battle including Arthur Roskie being his
In Ghost of Tsushima. If they make a sequel. Should add warriors like Li Long and Hwang. Tsushima is close by South Korea. And during the mongol invasion. Korea, China, and Japan had much contact.
When i play as Siegfried to fight against Li Long in Edge Master Room mode, is too difficult to use normal Attack (3x B, 2x A B) on Li Long cuz it drain 3~4% his health bar. Even Li Long blocked my attack.
And yet for whatever fucked up reason, they decided not to include Li Long in any other game after 3. Like why? Then again I don’t think I really played 4 or 5 enough, so correct me if I’m wrong
Li Long & Shienroneck should be Returning Characters to be Unlockables Arthur Roskie & Aurelia Dichala Doliacek should be Newcomer Characters to be Unlockables while Scheherazade should be Returning Character to be Selectable Abelia Schillfelt should be Newcomer Character to be Selectable in Soul Calibur 1 (Soul Calibur 2)
His song should be Call Of The Dragon in Soul Calibur 3 ( Soul Calibur 4) for him to be Main Full Fledged Cast Proper Original Major Storyline Playable Standard Principle Canonical Character instead of being a bonus character Experts
This is probably the first video game track that I remembered by name as a child. 20 years after playing this game I usually end up finding myself in the mood to listen to it again atleast a couple times a year.
@@coelophysisbauri4070 First, the piece is in a minor natural. I want to show them with audio examples all the three versions of the scale. And since I managed to play myself the game in the past, I was sure that I gave to my students at least some culture/info. I also explained to them how to play it today at least on PC, via emulator.
Wish They fix Them over and make Them Realistic again like Soul Edge/Soul Blade (Soul Calibur 1) Soul Calibur 1 (Soul Calibur 2) and Soul Calibur 2 (Soul Calibur 3) both of There Intro Poses Left and Right is also Realistic just like Soul Edge/Soul Blade (Soul Calibur 1) (Soul Calibur 1) Soul Calibur 1 (Soul Calibur 2) and Soul Calibur 3 (Soul Calibur 4) and Showing There Victory Poses when a Battle is and is Not Over also Realistic
the best theme song in all fighting games and this game by far is the best of all, did you pay attention to the fact that even the most modern games does not compare to the old ones even though they have better graphics and advanced game mechanics,?! the answer is that the old games have a spirit they were made with passion and love compared to the work of chain that it is now (since we started calling it gaming industry)
Used to leave the stage running in the game just to listen to the track! For me, along with Be in the Mirror from Tekken 2, the two defining game tracks of the PS1 era!
No fighting game will ever have a cast of characters that Soul blade did, it just cant be topped. Damn, listening to this ost makes me wish they brought Li long back in SC5 with the double nunchuck style he had in SC3, that would be amazing
Hmm, i only remember this song ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yC0-vuoqt5w.htmlsi=DFulhT1xvvaTlJb7 (Call of the Dragon,)are there two song on his stage?
@@Terrull you had to go to options and change sound / music whatever it was from "original" to "khan super session" that's how you get this music on his stage :)
I remember playing this game alot. I still have the PS1 greatest hits disk and might put it into the PS3 sometime to play old school fighter. Soul Caliber meet your grandfather XD.
Li Long was either poisoned or injured. Not to mention how his wife Chie, who he believed was killed, survived and became pregnant (Li Long is unaware of this). He returned as a bonus character in Soulcalibur III and was added as part of the base roster in the arcade edition.
So, in his wiki article it says Chie was "apparently killed." So what really happened to her? Cause in the good ending of Soul Blade he says he's going to return to her after hearing her voice...so I was confused about that. :/
Chie survived and is pregnant (though Li Long doesn't know that). Additionally, he was considered to have been poisoned (or mortally injured) sometime during his battles, and his statement meant he would return to her in the afterlife. I used to think that he was considered dead in the canon of Soul Blade, but his return in Soulcalibur 3 changed that, where he apparently lost an eye (and possibly his memory) during his travels. Funny thing is that he's still one of my favorite characters even now. Just like Baek Doo San of Tekken 2 being a more favored character (for me) than Hwaorang (of Tekken 3), I still prefer Li Long to Maxi.
LordSephleon Bahaha I know, Li Long was awesome and one of the most unique characters... I hated Maxi from the moment I saw him. He's such a brat! He just comes off as ridiculous and annoying. I always called him "Maxi pad." Lmao. :P
Ashley Miller Honestly, I really do like how they chain Maxi's attacks and how he could be abusive in the right hands (not mine), but yeah, "Maxi Pad" sounds about right for his personality. It's too bad, too; a nunchuck-wielding pirate chasing after a greataxe-wielding out of revenge for the loss of his crew is pretty bold, to say the least. "Hey, I'mma beat the living crap out of that giant mound of artificial muscle even though he killed my crew and could probably decapitate me without even trying!" Hmm... come to think of it, that does kinda fit Maxi's personality, doesn't it? Meh.
It's time that Li Long comes Back on Soul Calibur 1 (Soul Calibur 2) to have a Destined Battle Against Charline Xianghua come Back for Soul Calibur 2 (Soul Calibur 3) Soul Calibur 3 (Soul Calibur 4) Soul Calibur 4 (Soul Calibur 5) Soul Calibur 5 (Soul Calibur 6) Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) Soul Calibur 7 (Soul Calibur 8) Soul Calibur 8 (Soul Calibur 9) & Soul Calibur 9 (Soul Calibur 10) To be Playable on the Main Roster.
