I've been humming this theme recently without actually remembering where it came from. It's nice to think that Soul Blade still stays in my subconscious somehow.
When ever I See and Hear The Announcer Says Rock I think of Him as World Wrestling Federation Attitude Ruthless Aggression Era Superstar Triple Hunter Both of Them Uses a Hammer
UncleBiscuits79 I agree. The Rock was the only American character,so this tune is the national anthem in Soul Edge 2. It's reminiscent of the classic Wild West theme tunes, but better... The mighty continent. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I honestly can't imagine anyone today putting in _this_ amount of effort for OST in to a video game. I think the 90s will always remain untouchable in that regard. That entire era like forever owns the best video game music.
Yeah. A lot of orchestral music starts to get "generic". Not saying that it isnt good, but it doesnt sound as personalized or unique as the spundtrack of this game@@CompliantD
Rock........ man 96/97 Remember playing him in the arcade and having fun beating the computer. My favorite character. Im glad Namco brought him back in SC7
e rock altas marretadas no soul calibur Tambem fui jovem e feliz nesse tempo, alugava jogos rss. Joguei muito Soul Edge, meu irmao foi testemunha. Tinha um grande cuidado com meu save.
Soul Edge/Soul Blade (Soul Calibur 1) Soul Calibur 1 (Soul Calibur 2) Soul Calibur 2 (Soul Calibur 3) & Soul Calibur 3 (Soul Calibur 4) needs to have have Hwang Sung Kyung Li Long Rock Siegfried Schtauffen Seung Mina Edge Master Bangoo Necrid Abyss Charade & Olcadan as Main Chararacters Unlockable and Selectable Fully Playable for The Canonical Storyline respectively without Remakes no Reboots no Remasters no Updates or Upgrades forget about Backwards and forget about HD and no Next Gens that won’t work has to be Old Gens and Old Graphics
It's a good thing I finally got the psx rom for it or else I would have completely forgot the names of these songs and versions. I miss this music and remember as a kid turning the game on just to play the music sometimes!!!
BEST theme in the game hands down! I honestly think it is superior to Cervantes' theme (the most popular and with good reason) even though it is probably still in my top 3.
Aeieon Calcos Arthur Roskie Aurelia Dichala Doliacek Cervantes Delieon Edge Master Hwang Sung Kyung Li Long Rock Seung Mina Shienroneck Siegfried Schtauffen Yamoguchie
@blacklustwolf yea lol i remember when i was 6 my two fav charecters i won the uugt for florida with cerventas and holly wood ( florida ) with sueng mina my fav charecters but iwasnt as reasonably as good with them as mina and cervantes
Rock has been replaced with Astaroth Rock dissapeard more and more in the background of the soul blade/calibur series And he totally dissapeared in the 5th soul calibur. However he had his good times in Soul Edge and in the later parts he just sucked ^^
Soul Calibur 4 (Soul Calibur 5) & Soul Calibur 5 (Soul Calibur 6) on Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 needs to be fixed over to have better individual storylines for The Characters just like in the 4 Games and Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) needs to be fixed over also so it can take place after the 6th Game while the 5th can come before the 6th for them to be just like the 1st 2ed 3rd & 4th by removing 2 Timelines to have The Characters stay in their current Ages instead of making them back to their Younger Ages
Rock is in His 30's in Soul Edge/Soul Blade (Soul Calibur 1) Soul Calibur 1 (Soul Calibur 2), He's in His 40's in Soul Calibur 3 (Soul Calibur 4) and Soul Calibur 5 (Soul Calibur 6) He'll be in His 50's in Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) Soul Calibur 7 (Soul Calibur 8) Soul Calibur 8 (Soul Calibur 9) and Soul Calibur 9 (Soul Calibur 10)
+Blake “Tireless Warrior” Napier well the thing is SC is 4 years after SB. SC 2 is three years after the first one. SC 3 and 4 only range from a few months or at least I'm fairly sure they do from SC 2 so yeah by the time SC 2 he is 42 he's knocking sixty if he already isn't.
They need to fix Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) over to be in 1st Timeline like 7 are also have Soul Edge Design and those other stuff back in 3 Games to have better Storylines with Endings including Tales Of Souls Mode to return by having The same Characters having cutscenes when you encounter them like in Soul Calibur 3 (Soul Calibur 4) but this respond to all their Dialogue
Especially when Rock does that critical edge where he finishes by lifting you into the air then tosses you upwards before swinging that axe into you like a baseball bat ⚾️
The one who wrote this music is a legend , i hope to meet him someday to till him how great his work , who can believes that this music is composed in a fighting game from the 90s ? Few people who works with passion in small things .
Anwr Jouhar You're welcome. He did another song for this game: Recollect Continent, and has done scores for lots of other games (e.g. Street Fighter) Hope you check it out. Hope you get to meet him one day.
Good God, I haven't heard anything this adventurous in ages. If they were going for the old, horse-carriage American style, they captured it. I was too busy lording over Li Long's theme as a Kid to ever realize THIS theme existed. Imagine that. This aught to be the World Map theme to some Elder Scrolls game, or another franchise. It's both romantic and expansive.
GatedSunOne It belongs in Magnificent Seven, and days when gone by were patriotism was seen as a positive thing. The Japanese love America more than libtards.
That's not gonna work like that Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) has to be on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 from Playstation 4 Xbox 460 Playstation 5 Xbox 560 PC and Switch just like 2 are while Soul Calibur 1 (Soul Calibur 2) can be deported for Playstation 2 and Xbox 260 from Dreamcast and Xbox Live
One thing always amused me with Rock's stage and that was the fact that all around you your surrounded by grass covered rocky mountains yet smack in the middle of it all is a Perfectly Square mountain that you fight on top of.
Yeah, that was an excellent thing, with it I made most of the classic characters like Li-Long, but it's not the same. What made Soul Edge/Blade was it's characters, their individual stories, it's music, and that unforgettble intro video with that unforgettable song...Edge of Souls... I miss games like this.
