It's also about that spiritual awakening that brings us insights, joy, a sense of peace and freedom, AND the ability and desire to help others. Prayer unites us with the power of Love. Ohhh I absolutely love talking about morality. I have reasoned out why morality is crucial for society as long as the goal of a society is to live happily and optimally (that is to say live and be able to achieve our own individual maximum potential), and that goal is shared by all, for all. Getting everyone to share that goal though, especially the "far all" part, that's the tricky part. Still fun to talk about though!

In a recent debate on the Modern-Day Debate channel, Aron also brought up some studies that show there could be a negative side effects of prayer.

But while the former is kinda annoying and cringey, the latter can be deadly. And one thing can't be denied, the lion's share of humans want some sort of religion or spirituality. They cannot be content with atheism. The USSR's attempts to de-Christianize Russia failed, for example. Russia today has more faith healers than trained physicians.
