Soul Calibur 2 Link Arcade (with ending) 

Seriously seeing Link twist people's arms like that is truly badass. Hope we get a new Soul Calibur on the Switch so we can possibly see Link return as a guest fighter!

Soul Calibur 2 is still so epic.

I just bought Link's Soul Edge in Soulcalibur 2 and it is awesome. Soul Edge inflicts some serious damage. I just played the Extra Arcade mode as Link wielding Soul Edge and went through the whole Extra Arcade mode undefeated. I think Soul Edge is well worth the price of a bit of health.

I really really want Nintendo to incorporate Links fighting ability/style in this and Smash Bros into their actual combat system for LoZ. At least for Boss Battles and MiniBosses or some kind of unlockable "training mode" or sidequest. This looks so smooth and this is 20 years ago. I love LoZ but the combat is the weakest link 😂 in the whole series, meanwhile every other game gets it right. Imagine a bareknuckle brawl with Bokoblins and only pulling out his sword to finish them. Or Ganondorf having henchman besides Lynels (and more agile like Dark Link or Gerudo Warriors in OOT) that are formidable opponents.

2022 and I’m STILL mind blown that Link was really in this game, His move set was so nintendo and he had the best voice acting. Links biggest feature.

Something about Link fighting Raphael in the crumbling remains of a cathedral with the main theme of The Legend of Zelda playing in the background feels so magical.

What I like about the Soul Calibur incarnation of Link is that it shows that Link isn't just a guy who simply strafes around holding up his shield while waiting to strike at the right time, it shows that he is a well capable fighter who can fight against skillful swordsmen and fighters. The Hero of Time is more than just courage.

Being a PlayStation kid growing up, I had to settle for Heihachi. As much as I love Tekken, the idea of having Link and Spawn in the other versions made me jealous asf lol

And as the Hero of Time, Link played the "Song of Time" on his ocarina in order to whisk away back to Hyrule (unless he was playing Zelda's Lullaby)..... But hey, he sure is a fun guest character to play with for sure.

I remember seeing Link in Soul Calibur through a gaming magazine when I was a kid and I had no idea what SC was back then. I was all “YOOO what the heck game is this and why is Link in it?!” One of the coolest days of my childhood.

I like to consider this canon for the Hero of Time. Sometime after Majoras Mask Link, grown up for real, is called by the master sword to find soul edge.

When I first saw that link was in soul caliber, I was literally so flabbergasted, and the fact that it's oot link makes it so much more loveable and amazing

Link was just happy to help. That basically summarizes the ending of Arcade mode I presume in this universe Ganon is dead (for now) so when Link went out to go find a new Adventure he found this tournament of Swordsman and thought "finally. a new challenge for me to test my skills" and he ended up saving the world in the process

This shit was dope when it happened, I think Iwata (or Miyamoto) at the time when it came out told Namco, "Link must win if he's to be in the game" which is why he's super OP, I remember this reveal leaked early in gaming forums which made Sony and Microsoft FURIOUS they later gave them Spawn and Heihachi as their exclusives late in development. I'll never know why 3 was PS2 exclusive, all I know is that it wouldve been cool to see another Nintendo rep in a future title (Maybe a Fire Emblem rep) , but it never happened as the series director left Namco after Soul Calibur 6.

Namco and Nintendo should've made an exclusive Zelda game together with every SCII character as bosses. So it can be a bonus feature to Soul Calibur II.

In hindsight, it would have been amazing if they were able to add Ganondorf with his sword as well.

If this were canon to the LOZ timeline I imagine it would fit right after link defeats ganon in the adult timeline and is praised as a hero in hyrule

I hope no one judges me for saying this, but I might get this game just to play as Link in Soulcalibur 2. I recently had been playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and I play Super Smash Bros. Brawl all the time.

If this links story In this game was canon to his story then that just makes the hero of time even more of a tragic hero
