I like how this theme suits a battle against your archenemy. - Setsuka avenging her master by trying to slay Mitsurugi. - Ivy squaring off with her father, and worst enemy, Cervantes. - Sophitia protecting her children by facing Tira. - Rock rescuing his beloved adoptive son, Bangoo, by going through Aeon Calcos. - Maxi finally reaching the end of his journey, by putting Astaroth down for good. - Siegfried facing his sins and atoning for them, by crushing his former alter-ego, the Azure Knight, Nightmare.
@@aeoncalcos7830 Maxi went against Astaroth. He forced Kilik and Xianghua to go on while he fought the axe-wielding giant. In SoulCalibur, Rock canonically fought the lizard man to rescue his son.
I still think this is the best Soul Calibur game. There’s so many different modes, so many great characters, and it overall has so much “personality” :) And this game is still a masterpiece in 2024
also the completly unique for its genre chronicles of the swords mode which I still very much vibe with and wish this kinda FE esque approach to it with the freedom of classes, branching paths, overworldly moving units and so on stuff would return in a new SC title.
@@thefatking3154 It's technically from all the way back to Soul Calibur 1, as it's the Wings of Faith theme. SC likes to reuse a lot of leitmotifs, it's pretty cool.
This song fuels the raging fire in my depressed heart. Since childhood my abusive father degraded me, disowned me, threatened my life with a brick, a hatchet and attacked me with a golf club (my mother attacked me with a fire poker too) and I got sent to jail on a charge he fabricated (I attacked him "first"). Before he could land a blow on my body with a golf club, I caught the club mid-swing, fighting back for my life in self-defense against my very own father. No more senseless child beatings; he learned I am an adult who can protect himself. _No more death threats._ _No more abuse._ Immediately returning from jail, I was effectively homeless, but I am successfully thriving on my own, cutting-off complete contact from my former abusers. I need due justice, my soul needs to heal. I _refuse_ to let myself continue to be a victim of my former monster "parents," that day and the future of my life.
