This video shows how to unlock Amy in Soul Calibur 3 for Playstation2.
Play Tales of Souls mode with Yoshimitsu (there are sever other characters with a path to Amy). After that just spam the start button (always the first choice when there is an option). If you lose a battle start over. You can't lose at all when trying to unlock "Beloved". If you lose, and have to repeat a battle, you won't get to fight Amy.
Compared to other fights this far in ToS, Amy is quite the pain to beat. I lost count how many times I lost to her.
Once Beloved is unlocked, beat it in easy mode.
Other notes:
1. I'm not exactly great at this game, so no comments about how much I suck at it.
2. This is actually me finally unlocking Amy. I picked up SC3 used a few weeks ago because I wanted to play a fighting game.

how does this game get boring?! chronicles of the sword could keep u busy for a week of playing it over and over again, the storyline for that mode is awesome, u really get attached to it

Best to turn off the auto save feature whenever you get to the Chronicles mode. Save corruption is absolutely dreadful in this game!

I did exactly what you did, actually i was playing this game while i had this video going, i watched what you did and followed your foot steps, gotta tell you, this game isn't friggen easy even on easy mode! amy almost killed me till i stabbed her with my sword in the stomach! PHEW! what a work out!

I prefer this Yoshimitsu a lot more to Takken's Yoshimitsu, because this one is at least human. None of that Predator shit and some crappy alien language.

I loved this game so much, my dad got rid of my PS2 wires though so I can't go on it now. -.- Had everything done, just needed to complete Chronicles of the Sword mode. -.-

I neeeeever eeeeever EVER encountered her in ToS and in turn didn't get the challenge. So I did the battles thing but I didn't know how many so didn't bother. Then one day, I was being happy old Revenant and I got this feeling and then....AMY UNLOCKED

i suck at this game too. i feel ya pain. but i'm pretty good with raphael, kilik, and ivy. although my friend comes over and plays yoshimitsu and kills me everytime.

Dude, please tell me how you do that spin thing? I've just went through hell using Yoshimitsu and Zasalamel trying to unlock this girl and everytime I try to get close, she kicks the living piss outta me and it's driving me insane! It's like she can detect my every move.

Probably because I hate being stuck with the create-a-character. I would rather be able to just use Amy through the whole thing. (can't find a gameshark2 code to do it either) As far as the story, it's "read the story" then fight, rather than "play the story"... I don't like reading, I would rather play it, so I guess that's why it gets boring for me.

I remember when i first fought her, i wuz so excited. I wanted to unlock her first, but since i used this video as a reference i knew i would have to unlock Yoshimitsu first which was kind of annoying to try to figure out who would unlock him.

Not really. It gets boring fast (like any fighting game, has no plot). It is one of the few fighting games that I actually like though. So it's good if you like fighting games. I got mine used at gamestop for cheap.

Beloved also gets unlocked after 1250 battles (according to the guide I found). So if you play a lot, it will eventually get unlocked.

I don't understand why everyone said SC3 has such amazing graphics. SC2 had better graphics ._. I mean, i know gameplay is all that really matter, but still. I just don't get it.

BHM Productions Try playing the game with progressive scan turned on, then you'll see the difference.

oh my god I never got to unlock Beloved. Amy was SUCH a pain in the ass whenever I fought her (I'm pretty sure I used at least 6 different characters and ran into her, maybe Cassandra?) and I never beat her! I played Beloved cause my friend unlocked it... never again. I couldn't even beat Raphael!

oh yah one more thing if you spam the start button all your doing is messing up your controller you have to go on a kill streek. how i know is because i know all yoshi's moves and the best to kill amy which is flight high flight--buttons=square,R1---

Instructions are in the description. Basically you just play Tales of Souls with Yoshimitsu. Always choose the "top" choice when given an option. Never lose a battle (don't use any continues). If you do that, you will get to fight Amy. Defeat her (hard) to unlock Beloved in Soul Arena. Defeat Amy there (easy) to make her a playable character.

Yoshimitsu in here is badass, in Tekken he is badass too. No matter what, he will be my all time favorite fightning game character.

It's easy to get Amy. You can easily get her with Tira, Kilik, or Raphael. Playing chronicles of the sword also helps you get more characters, items, clothes, and weapons.

Put what in easy mode? In Soul Arena use R1 to switch difficulty (you can't even play Beloved on other difficulties until you beat it in easy mode). The regular game doesn't have a difficulty setting.

@cuteempress123 Thanks! You know, I went back and used Yun-Seong and I managed to unlock her. Took me a while, but I got her. I was real impulsive cause I tried to go in for the k.o., but when I did that, she sliced me limb from limb so I had to use some throws in order to mess her up.
