Medusa in my opinion is the hottest character on the show. She has looks, awesome abilities, and has an intelligence IQ to rival that of Dr. Stein. In other words, my kind of girl. :D

Actually, during the scene where Maka finds Medusa in the alley and Stein follows, he hints that he knows Medusa is a witch. He later asks her directly if she's a witch.

I'm not sure of the episode number but I'm pretty sure it's the episode where the gang goes under the school during the DWMA dance and try to prevent the Kieshan from awakening.

Not necessarily. They can be any color they please, but a Witch's soul usually is tainted, resulting in black colors. So, it could be violet, but usually, the Soul Guard/Protection stops people from picking up the tainted parts or their soul altogether. A Witch could have a white-colored soul, but is tainted with something like their niche. Like, Medusa was snakes, Mizune was rats, and Eruka was frogs.

Didn't she cast a charm that sort of concealed her soul or whatever? That's why she could never use magic at the Academy, because I think it would reveal her true soul.
