Leaning towards liu bei at this point, or peridot for the deal. Liu bei makes more sense, as i have guan yu and almur as a 1-2-3 hit combo. Peridot is cheaper but less synergy.
I actually took C. Seshat, but only for the priority dispel to 3 at fast speed. With the new aether talents becoming more and more prevalent, she will be able to get rid of them quicker than most other dispellers. My Himeros is very fast, but only dispells one. I am hoping she gets a buff soon as her stats are very poor. I'm curios how the upcoming mega minions will affect fiend summoners. I also struggle finding a place for Quintin. He's mainly been relegated to events and occasional wars. Liu Bei is one of my most used. Pairing him with Arco works very well.
@@terrywoodfine8848 I took C Seshat mainly cos I love the art. As ftp and lacking strong heroes, I also use Domitia a lot as a dispelled and saw Seshat as an upgrade. I should have waited for this video. I needed a healer and might have taken Liedenbrock. Maybe She'll come round again with a costume.

@@terrywoodfine8848 Sechat is a good hero and with, the costume gives her a bit upgrade, I don't know on which level your playing, how much money you throw in the game but some play for fun, and wrong decision for you might be the only option for them, so play your thing and don't tell others how to play!
I've always wondered why they've used the term "to hit targets" and not "target" in Congalach's special. My green and purple roster suffers, so I'm deciding between Liu Bei and Khonshu. The problem is that I need a dark tank and Khonshu isn't that great in this position (though the chance for mana debuff is very nice). I also don't have any hero in that color that would be very fast for the synergy. I only have Arfanias whose damage isn't high and I'd have to risk that enemy's mana bar at full for that maximum dmg. Just got Waterpipe recently, so was thinking about Liu Bei and helping out with his own minions to make the first ones more survivable. What would you recommend?
1 good pick 2 I take Wolfgang as i need boosted health in towers, because his can boosted health at the end when the buffs are reduced 3 turns. Anyway, i just can pick 15 tier. 3 your playing style is conservative, so it's hard to group him to an attacking trio. So i may suggest pair him together with Congalach / Alfrike, Ludwig and Grimble, that will make Congalach / Alfrike every attack after him can guarantee a kill. My thought.
Gilligan is slept on most hero are double limit broken and start off with buffs so he gains mana from the start even if you dont make any yellow matches
But still his tripple hit is low, I though taking him as well and using with Mist and 2c Joon, but they're not going to do enough damage to take down 3 targets from 7 tiles, so why bother 😁
Playing with Gilligan in beta, I found he was indeed much faster than you'd expect but his hit was so weak that it didn't really matter. He was better in practice than he looks from reading the card, but far from top-tier. I'd still put him as the worst hero on the 10-souls tier. And I think on a price per performance ratio, Peridot might be the best "value" in the whole SE, so definitely the best hero in the 10-souls tier. I still use Liu Bei a lot. He's excellent in PvE - it is fun to watch tough bosses impale themselves on his counterattack. And Franz can help it along. The only heroes in this SE that I didn't already have were Peridot and Quintin. So I took the obvious choice: Quintin. I am thinking he'd be a decent synergy with Guardian Hippo. That will probably be the first thing I try when I eventually get him leveled.
Quintin with Tinsel / Master Lepus is instant kill for a hero..luckily, I have both Tinsel and Lepus..Cupido and R&N too, but I find this Hohenwerf so enjoyable, the mana control feels like the best feeling in this game, so... really tough choice between Hohen and Quintin
Gaining more mana for your team and controlling the enemies mana seems to be the single best thing you can do in the game. Fortunately I have Quintin so the decision was easy for me lol
I took Quintin.I have Ruby and I have so many red heroes waiting in line that till I get to Hohen... that game does not exist any more ;) Plus Quintin has such a cool ability ...lol! Next up the fated summon. Cant wait to see all the outdated heroes there. :)
I picked asterius because I have costume marjana and costume cong I was missing him his cinergy with those 2 is insane only other hero i was considering was quintin but have whole bunch of snipers great video as always pretty sad Wolfgang professor are practically useless now and I used that same green team used to be unbeatable now not so much lol also cupido does mindless healing
I enjoy using Asterius on titans too, since his defense down stacks with others. You can have his defense down, elemental defense down, and then use a harpoon for 3 kinds of defense down.
Thanks boss I had to skip this one but pulled Leo caedmon and li xu 2nd costumes so I'm pretty happy right now also snatched grimble from fated summons
For Quintin, i think the best synergy is with Misty from a support role in 3.2. Misty works as a hitter and a healer. Both Misty and Quintin are fast, so if the board sucks but you have the 7 blue tiles, you can get a bit of heal and also remove one of the enemies.
I really like Hohenwerf BUT I've wanted Quintin for so long I couldn't pass him up. He isn't fully leveled but I generally can keep him alive at 4 > 25+ as my team below has lots of meat shields and taunts. So I have Bera / Krampus / Pengi / Ludwig / Quintin for a 3/2 stack. Whoever is targeted by Quintin dies unless they have ailment protection OR are monk class since I fire him and then Pengi as they are both Fast mana. If Bera or Krampus are also charged it's even more mayhem. Having even one ghosting lane can make a huge difference which is why I really enjoy using him so far...mind you I am NOT some top raider and generally can sit in the 2600-2700 range pretty easily. I've also used him a little on PVE and he rocks there on final bosses.
You should give your take on these heroes for everybody, not just people who already have these heroes. There’s people who don’t spend & don’t have most of them. I think you give your take coming from someone who clearly has almost all the heroes in this game & from someone who probably spends a lot 😂
then maybe you should watch someone else? if you play with a way lower roster and against many teams that are not Meta, then you can pick many heros and have fun with. but dont you want an honest opinion about the heros in general from someone who understands the game?
Your comment is well meaning but it's just not realistic. The reason it isn't realistic is because which hero is "best" varies from player to player. Even if two players had the exact same roster they might approach the game from different perspectives. For instance- Ask how you should emblem a SINGLE hero and you will generally get all kinds of takes. Now try to figure on how to commentate on how each hero should be evaluated for all players and their various play styles and infinite rooster considerations and that's not even to consider what they like to play...Raids? Events? Maps/Quests? Towers? Titan hits? But that's why he also mentioned at 10:00 - You have to evaluate each hero and how they will fit into your roster as not everyone is playing these heroes at the meta level.
I tried to cover from multiple angles and I think I mentioned that a few times. Its hard to consider everyone's unique roster in my suggestions but I did my best to give relevant info for a variety of people 🖖🏻
I could really use Hihenwerf. But I only have 15 unleveled classic heroes. I do have nearly ten level 80 classic heroes. Should I use 5 of them to grab him? The only utility they serve is if I attain their costumed version in the costume chamber. Is it worth it in order to improve my best team? Currently my best red is Emilio while the rest of my red are mediocre HoTM. I have Arco on my best lineup so I'd have two Gargoyles to get better protections Thoughts?
I think quality is always better than quantity. Back when Black Knight was available I got him but was lacking doubles, so I've used Horghall (at 4/80). It may hurt when you exchange heroes that had ascension materials on them but after you level up a great hero you'll quickly forget about them. :) The ascensions items aren't that rare anymore. You'll obviously get them from monthly events and what's the point of having heroes that sit on the bench all the time? You got to check which heroes you don't use anymore or very rarily and then decide. Just remember to reset and take back their emblems. ;)
The is no other enemies to damage when facing titan ..so quintin probably not as useful.. cuz the target the titan will receive all damage that other targets receive.. IF that makes sense..
@@milodemoray Quintin will function like a regular sniper on a titan because there are only one target to hit... He could fit the tiledamage spot though because of his attack stats, but so can a lot of heroes... He is mainly a hero for attack and he is always on my blue mono team...
I finally stopped wasting $ and just about quit this game, but have been waiting for this. I took Quintin cause it's the only 20 lvl I didn't have. Conga is a great Titan hitter with elemental def d, dd & increased dam. Would have done Peridot, but wanted to get rid of more garbage.
Spock, I was wondering if you pulled Luna. I paired Luna with WU Kong and the beams haven’t missed. I suspect it might be the same for Eldaladel. Luna is only at the third ascension and at s1 8-7 the beams are doing 1200 and don’t miss… I realize that’s at 8-7 but that’s weird to see that. Can you confirm?
That sounds like a bug as those beams are only supposed to do 140% so even with the buff from Wu that's nowhere near 1200 damage. As for not missing, I believe it's because those are not special skills or normal attacks. Think of them as minion hits or passives they aren't affected by taunt / dodge / etc.
I did not pull Luna. Wu Kong works similarly with Hippo too in terms of boosting damage and not missing. I don't see how 140% hit can scale to 1200 though! Were you fighting in raids or attacking mobs in map stages?
@@MrSpock mobs. After playing in the current raid’s tournament, under leveled and Wu Kong’s buff it comes out to 650 or so damage without misses. Luna and wu kong has saved my ass. She’s pretty much for the first time made it through the tournament without paying 75 gems.
I'm having a hard time choosing so any advice would be appreciated. I keep bouncing back and forth between a few options. I'm free to play, so it takes me a long time to get enough 5 stars to trade. I have exactly 20 saved up now, so if I participate this time, I likely won't be able to participate in the next SE. I'm strongest in blue and purple. Weakest in green, followed by red. I'm considering Congalach to save 5 souls for the future, and could pair him next to Ludwig to speed him up. However, his weaker/older stats and the fact he's still slow until I can get Ludwig to fire makes me hesitate. I'm also thinking of Hohenwerf since I have no gargoyles and I like that he is fast and has the stone skin, and I have no 5 star mana control heroes. However, Quintin sounds like fun, even though he is blue (sort of like how I still took Lord Loki even though I have a lot of blue). Plus I could pair Quintin with another Raven (Lewena) for the family bonus. Lastly, at first I was going to ignore Liu Bei since I got Guan Yu last time and they are both 3 Kingdoms Green hit 3, so I thought he was very similar. But maybe having them together goes the family bonus is a smart thing to do? I watched a lot of videos and am still feeling stuck since SE and Fated Summons are the only times I have a chance at an okay 5 star (I have poor results in portals and even getting HOTMs). Any opinions to help me get out of this decision paralysis would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
It all depends on your roster. The best heroes are always those who won't get old quickly, even in the fast meta changing. I would choose between Hohenwerf and Liu Bei as your fire and nature roster is limited but if you want to save some 5* then maybe Wolfgang is a fine choice? I like heroes that are offensive and defensive at the same time. Makes them more usable and that's Wolfgang and Liu Bei. I already have some snipers like Roughian and Nurgib, so I'll pass on Quintin, Khonshu and Hohenwerf. My green and purple roster is the weakest (also C2P/F2P player here), so I'm choosing Liu. He will definitely help Waterpipe with his additional minions. I still have most of the S5 to beat, so there's going to be chance to pull Khonshu. The War of the Kingdoms however is very scarse when it comes to coins. Consider this as well - the gargoyle, war of kingdoms and ravens/wolves events aren't that often.
You fire Quintin at the hero you want dead then you fire Morel then fire costume master lepus then 2end costumes lupus can take a healer or just take lotd loki . Or a 2end Quintin. Tjats how you ise him
For 10 peridot is a steal for ftp I would save 10 and pick peridot but if u really wanting to use 20 top level all are good only one I probably wouldn't pick is konshu just my opinion though
Peridot is a great choice, you get a good hero and still have 10 left for next time. If you want to go for 20, Lidenbrock can be very useful for events and map/quest levels. If already have an overhealer like Heimdall for example then the green, red and blue heroes are all great choices. Consider which color needs the most help. And don’t worry about comparisons with the top tier heroes, you won’t have to fight them as a ftp player. Just pick a hero that will make your best teams better.
Look at your roster to see what abilities are needed. Also consider who you'll be able to ascend. Fated Summon & Soul Exchange are the only times you get to choose a 5*. I agree with the person who said to pick from the 10 tier so you have 10 for next time.
I agree with what written above with a small addon, don't look on mats and emeblems, yes maybe you'll not be able to ascend the heroes fast, but when the mats come and go... Heroes aren't
I took Hohenwerf, think he's the best from this group. Very frustrating to fight against, fast speed with gargoyle skin is ridiculous, you get small windows where you can hit him and mindless attack may be devastating.
I know right. And yet here we are watching another video. We are such idiots I tell you. Both of us, big stinking idiots. I don't know about you but I've learned my lesson. I'm only watching 437 more videos and if it doesn't get better I'm out.
Ruby is my red mana control hero because i dont have cupido. Some war defenses still use a bunch of Christmas heroes. Viscarro's passive comes in super helpful against pengi and mother north while Grimble is charging and Lepiota stalls Krampus. Very niche and definitely not top tier playing but it works for me.
