Sisi Yemmie, I tried your big outdoor pot fried rice recipe. That recipe is the truth! Thanks to amazing cooks like you that make food and eating worth it for us all. That green pepper and spring onions blend you added is such an amazing twist. I love it. Keep giving us the best. Praying God blesses you and all that concerns you continually.🥰♥️
Love your scripture reference by the way. The first time I noticed it was when I needed it the most. I was feeling so much anxiety because of a lot of major events going on in my life and I came to your page to get some recipe ideas because although I’m American, my husband is Nigerian so I’ve been learning as much as I can about the different foods he’s used to eating. In any case, I did not expect to see that scripture in your description box but I needed to see it and it helped me immensely! So thanks for letting God use you! Blessings sister .🙏🏽
Hi! all the food looked really good! And that drink definitely looks like a caramel Frappuccino. The food, however, they may have mislabeled. While it is American style cuisine, it is definitely not soul food. I think I saw baked Mac n cheese on the menu. This is the only item (that I noticed) that could potentially fall into the soul food category).
Yum yum time so I am joining. 😛😛😛. My own plate that I like using, if chipped, I will continue depending on where it chipped. Restaurant? Heck no, and the replacement too? I noticed I wondered if it was the design. The owner needs to leave Instagram and pay attention to business for a minute. Bugs can live in cracks so I beg, no give people belle ache for us now. If the chip scratch your finger nko or other peoples?
Chipped plates always puts SisiYemmie off😀 I remember you have mentioned it about another restaurant in the past... The food looks so delish, especially the pancakes!
I love this! Thank you for sharing your menu. Sadly, I will never make it too Lagos but you have blessed me with an idea of what's its like to dine in your beautiful city in your country. Be blessed!
Lovely food but chipped plates are a no-no! Plates have a glossy surface which is a glaze that covers and seals the material that the plate is made from. It keeps the bacteria out. When a plate or a cup is chipped and the outer seal (the surface) is broken, bacteria can get into the plate. If anyone eats from that plate..... The same with cups. Apparently.
Everything looks so good and I haven’t eaten breakfast yet except for a cup of black coffee and yogurt with some fruit. Pancakes are everything! 🤤 Yummy!
Their food looks delicious, they served with chipped plate think that the customer won't notice 😀 anyways I think it's because you were curious, many would think its actually a design, so since it's not design they should consider investing in plates na,
At this point you look like Fummee here! I agree about chipped plates it immediately puts me off. I have never been to any restaurants here and received chipped plates but this is “the abroad”. The food looked tasty though and the attendants seem very responsive like they didn’t leave you to wonder where they are. That was my problem when I visited Lagos and went to Cubanos smhh
Looks yummy! And I agree - no to chip plates. That takes away from the experience and aesthetic. Not to mention that you could get cut. Also toast with breakfast is a common in the US.
Hey there. Black American here. First, let me start by saying that the food looks absolutely delicious! It looks really good. However, it isn't soul food. This kind of food you are eating is what you would find in an American diner in the US including a breakfast diner. So, it is American themed or styled food, but it is more mainstream America. Soul food is a Black American origin cuisine within the US and the style of cooking is different. What would come close to our food style would be a "southern style" breakfast that would be American style biscuits, sausage, gravy, grits, fried salmon patties, sometimes plain cooked rice, fat back, bacon, scrambled eggs, etc...We would have some things on that Americans menu like pancakes, but we would do cornbread cakes, a steak and eggs, chicken fried steak with gravy, fried potatoes, shrimp and grits, and some of us will fry fish and serve it with our rice or grits and eggs....So, some minor changes.
the prices are a bit high for the food they are serving especially for them to put your food on chipped plates. Also i saw fans and not an AC unit outside.if they fix all the above and charge 15 dollars for food (6500 naira) then it would be worth it as long as the food is good. but i wouldnt go to that place for those prices for a chicken sandwich or pancakes.
That crepes looked so fluffy and delicious, y'all need to visit Cafeteria, you will not regret going there, their food matches their aesthetic. Also, I love a biodegradable paper bag, extra thumbs up to them 👏🏾 . #adisawashere
The food looked delicious, but to answer your question: No, to chipped plates and no to a knife inserted in the food. A toothpick (or two) should have been inserted in the sandwich to keep the chicken from separating from the bun. Ai yi.....
Lol, what kind of toothpick will they insert in that massive burger? Also you can't even have a bite of the burger without cutting it with the knife they inserted.
@@luciaanulika5256 a skewer is widely used to hold the chicken or anything in the bun. And why do I even need to divide the bun when I'm supposed to use my hands to hold the burger and take a very nice bite 😌
@@dorisentertains9919 Did you see how high that burger is? The burger came with a fried chicken not a flat minced beef, if you press it down too hard, it will make a mess and if you are not careful, you will stain yourself IF any veggies drop or any drip. You can cut the burger IF you want to that's the restaurant giving you an option, they can use skewers and also provide knife.
"Cafeteria" is top on my list of restaurants to visit. I look forward to having meals there with their "Bubble Tea & Boba Balls"..... Pls review "BBQ & Cravings". PS: I visited "Toasties" and had their RAm sandwich and it was heavenly....🤤🤤🤤
