Adapted from the Edgar Allen Poe short story called “Bon-Bon”. The film is a dark comedy about a man intoxicated on wine and his own ideas on the meaning of the soul. It is in this state that he is visited by the Devil, and a philosophical discussion about the soul ensues.

this movie is really exceptional for a first project. i was totally blown away by gustafs performance. stellan is wonderful as always but gustaf really managed to plunge deep down into the depths of the horrifying and uncanny without it coming off as cheap or superficially scary. everything from his first entrance to his last bow was just WOW. i hope to see more from bill and landon, you guys have created something so dark and beautiful.

Gustaf is what we call a natural. He’s incredible and like you said really captures the essence without going for the superficial and obvious. It’s a mark of a deeper thinker in my opinion. Absolutely superb. All of them are so talented. It’s inspiring really.

Nicely written. Gustaf was brilliant. Sorken (Sigmund) very handsome. My favourite line: “I’ve been around a very long time, and I’ve seen man songs, good ones and bad ones and even in the greatest ones that your kind has to offer I have found only blind men full of babble and temerity striving to persuade themselves that they have an eagle eye, and other curious ad foolish believing them on their word and imagining that they see something too. But deep-down Bon-Bon there’s the horrible truth that there’s nothing to be seen at all.”

Gustaf is the best actor in the entire Skarsgård family, too bad he is not valued as such. Latin America loves and admires him very much. I hope that his films can be easily found with subtitles in Latin Spanish.

This is a magnificent performance by Stellan and Gustaf! After rereading Poe’s Bon-Bon, I am amazed at how well you all have brought his prose to life or should I say to death 😂 Gustaf, an incredibly creepy and magical performance as Satan that should be extended to a full-length film. The voice, the hands, the pretend breathing, the smirk… like you swallowed Poe’s words and possessed his character.🥀

This was so great, from the tone of color, acting and script. The camera work pulled me right in the eccentricity of it all. I also loved the cat. Stellan's conversation with him seemed so familiar to me. I'm so glad the little cat got his credit. Both, Stellan and Gustaf were and are incredible. Gustaf's way of transforming himself into enigmatic and eerie characters is jaw dropping indeed. I become more of an admirer. The writing was immensely well done, an ode to Edgar Allen Poe, I had to keep up with the back and forth quickness and wittiness of the two characters. I loved it. The song choice at the end was perfect too and really closed the scene perfectly. Bill Skarsgård, Landon Liboiron and the amazing producers who worked this did beautifully. I hope to see so much more from everyone who took part in creating this beautiful work.

The lighting is beautiful ! Like in a Georges de la Tour painting. It highlights the faces of the characters, their expressions and adds mystery. Congratulations bro - directors Bill and Landon. Bon-Bon is a spooky and crazy story. Edgar Allan Poe was an inspiration of mine. Growing up with depression, his work made me feel like I wasn't the only one going through. Glad to see his work is still inspiring other artists today.

Doing a film by Edgar Is one of my dreams , this is brilliant, the ambience is incredible, no questioning about the acting because skarsgards can do anything , the lightening , the cinematography, those slow small pause moments like the man looking at his cat , such a great work , I hope Landon and bill will making these kind of short movies 👏

So of course the devil denies that Stellan's character has a soul so that Stellan's character practically begs him to take his soul. Yeah, that sounds about right.
