This is such an awesome interpretation, leaning into the heroic/symphonic switch of the second half of the track, signifying redemption. To me though, the solo piano bridge doesn't really fit into the tone of the setting, it makes it feel "modern" (look up the playlist of 'movie trailers beginning with a single piano note). I love the idea of using the bridge to tone things down from the sinister atmosphere of the first half, all you need is to use synth textures.

As long as one of us remembers this franchise we are legion.... Edit-so it appears we are indeed legion! Now imagine we toss a coin imagine one side our franchise fades into obscurity on the other mediocre remakes or AAA garbage but what if their was a third option were our coin lands on its edge and we get a true sequal to defiance and defy the tyranny of stars?.......

Blood omen 2: worst in the series, still okay. Blood omen 1: genius, Soul Rever 1 and 2: legendary, Defiance: Still pissed off on cliffhanger and never got the conclusion -sniffles- The game and the lore is insane! Why isnt there someone getting the rights to remake it? WHY?! it is an unfinished legendary level game series.

Honestly, knowing this series, knowing the story and the amount of lore behind it, if they were to make it into a TV show, it would easily rival Game of Thrones and dominate any platform it was on. And if it were to be a show, this version of the theme should be it's opening

Unbelievable this series haven't been remastered or remaked. Still one of the best vampire stories out there.

You know not the extent of my anticipation...for eons I've hungered for something as audacious...as magnificent as this to satiate my soul. The rapture it has bestowed upon me is beyond measure. A truly magnificent piece of work.

This is amazing work. Production is great, that piano interlude is like if we were getting a live action Soul Reaver movie and that was the trailer! This got reccomended to me after doing a few Kain covers myself (including Ozar)

This version very much isolates the chaos and haunting tones of the original. Distinguishing each section of the track by capitalizing on a different emotion. My dood you are a genius, and this perfectly conveys the many themes this series blessed us with decades ago.

I must say, absolutely well done on this, you nailed it and kept the key points that really emphasize the emotion of the song, gave me a ton of goosebumps!

I swore I saw a glint of satisfaction in Crystal Dynamic's eyes when they announced a remaster version of Soul Reaver instead of a true sequel. I did not understand the game Crystal Dynamics was playing....,but I knew the finishing move.

Odd but I love how in the span of 3 years since I have regained interest in Soul Reaver given that in 2002 I played a demo disc with a small bit from it, then learning about Legacy of Kain myself after finishing SR1 I now see a lot of talented people making art for this series. Have we triggered a cause and effect among society? Are we changing as individuals? Will we even see this franchise return? Or is this coincidence on fantastic display?

What I would give for a full version of this track in this style! You're amazing! Better yet, pls make a full album of that I would pay the world to get that on my hands!

They did this game so well that sometimes I wonder if Nosgoth is real and they just regurgitated it's history and layout😂😂. But who knows? Nosgoth may be real

You may uncover that EIDOS is the creator but know nothing of them, you think Square-Enix is noble, altruistic ahh don't be simple. Their agenda is the same as EA.

The original is way better. Keep it dark and grimey that's what this game is meant to be.
