Welcome to another kiln unloading with Star at SoulHaven Pottery. I share the good, the bad and the fails of multi-brand ceramic glaze combining! Enjoy :).
Love your creativity and your ability to make me think more about making wall pieces. It was so nice to see how you test out new glazes, so playful yet brainy at the same time. Feel better! I have allergies too 😢. -Liana
I’m watching your video right now!! So may beautiful pieces Star!!! Loving the Reactive Red / Birch combo! 🤯Wow love that. Totally digging your Art Tiles! You don’t seem pleased with the small writing but that’s what I love! Opal Lustre…by who?? Soooooo pretty!! Looks amazing!! That wall vase is amazing!! 🤩 soooooo pretty! I’m sorry to hear your feeling a ’mush’… totally get it!! This too shall pass! Sending Love 🥰wine always makes things better! Haha!! I really love all the different txt you applied to your work! 🥰🥰🥰 love you combos! You are an amazing artist!
Thank you Sweet Sarah! Opal Luster is a new Mayco glaze…it used to be Duncan and it looks different in bottle but it’s the same glaze! And right?? On the reactive red river birch..I love it! I like the tiny writing too but needs to get underglazed first I think to be able to read it😁. Thanks for watching😘
Beautiful pots!! I love how many different things you make. I just got the sample pack of new mayco glazes and engobes so it was nice seeing combos with those.
Thank you Michelle! I have the opal luster from when it was Duncan and it looks different in bottle but it’s the same and I used to love it! That’s why I played with it so much this time😄. I wasn’t sure about using the engobes yet.
@@SoulHavenPottery-gt2gf Oh that’s really interesting! It took them an awful long time to make it again. I have a TON of greenware that I wasn’t able to fire during the winter so I’ve tried it on a bunch of things. It’s sooo easy. It goes on like glaze but is just clay. No worries of melting or sticking to shelves, it’s just colored clay.
I love the green wall planter with the pink it looks like a lilypad and with the lotus flower! Would love to see the wall tiles after you have added beads, that sounds like a fun idea, I love beads too💫
Thanks Amanda…I’ve been busy beading. It takes awhile. I tend to be drawn to projects that are intensive lol. How’s your little intensive project? I hope you are having a lovely time with your little Fern. I love that name 💗. I will post on Instagram when I’m done with the planters. Thanks for the lily pad visual, I love it!
Hi Star, another great kiln opening with beautiful glaze combos. I’ve had the Opal Luster from Duncan, so it’s a bit old. You’ve inspired me to revisit this glaze. Thank you for sharing!❤️❤️❤️
Hey star! Gorgeous unload! Rainforest is def best on its own or w snow over for oil spot and def on white clay. Buff makes celadons go muddy. Loooove the opal lustre added to my list!
It’s really beautiful with Amaco Oatmeal! It used to be a Duncan glaze..which I still have some of. I was hoping it was the same one since Mayco bought them out and it is 😊💗
