I am not a fan of Soulja Boy, but I recognized this fact years ago. I do respect that he was the 1st to blow up and land a record deal solely off of RU-vid and probably MySpace at that time. Unfortunately, this (social media) opened the door for a lot of low quality talent to make a splash.

Look at it this way: not a bunch of products being advertised, no guns and drugs being flashed, no females with implants and butt shots in tight dresses just sitting around being pretty, real looking people having fun, and you can actually comprehend the lyrics without having to look them up. But I saw a picture earlier today that said something like, "Just because you're trash doesn't mean you can't be good" or something like that as well as, "It's called garbage 'can' not garbage 'can't'".
