One of my favourite games of all time. Happy to see you try it and really hope you'll finish it, even if off camera it's more than worth it. Make sure to pay attention to game's lore. It has quite a few parallels to the lore of Dark souls BTW
Can’t wait for silksong lol. However the more we wait the better the game will turn out, team cherry is gonna get a HUGE amount of money from silksong. 💀
@@Icekaiser i mean idk i haven't played it personally but i have played dark souls, and i can see clear parallels between artorias and hollow knight, i wouldn't be surprised if it had a few with bloodborne
A heads up - there aren't save points in HK - your progress is saved after anything (any geo, location, etc.). It's just when you come back you'll spawn at the last bench

@@meee_5155 it's frustrating when you're trying to get through a boss and you die and the nearest bench is still a bit far. that's frustrating bc you have to walk all the way back again. but i don't think that "cheat" i talked about is a bad thing, i used it a lot when i needed it, i just didn't know how to describe it properly so i used the word "cheating" but it's not a bad thing
Just a heads up - there are no illusionary walls in HK, but there are breakable ones, and breakable floors and I think roofs 😅 And obviously since it is a platformer, there's stuff hidden behind some more or less tricky platforming from time to time
@@darthnihilus128550% right. If you break the breakable Walls atleast once Per save they Will be permanentet broken like every single other broken Wall but it wont show it visually. The Walls are then “illusionary”
THIS IS AMAZING I would love to see more of this. Also the a metroidvania often has a bunch of paths that will be blocked until you progress somewhere else and get a ability to pass the obstacle. Also last tip you can pogo of spikes and enemy’s by swinging your nail down while in the air to bounce on them.

This is my first exposure to your channel and man I wanna see more of this. Its not often you get to see a totally blind first playthrough and you're really fun to watch
I like how easily you grasp the basic premise of exploring, and I think it's where your souls experience shines through. when you encounter a seemingly insurmountable obstacle, a lot of new player have a tendency to think they might just be missing something obvious, and keep trying to pass it. You very quickly catch on whether something is doable and just needs skill, or if you likely need something else to move forwards and so explore elsewhere. I really enjoy watching this!

Small advice: bye one type of markers (at least) from the shop your got the compas and the quill. This game, although there are multiple ways to arrive in one area, has a lot of spots you can t go to in the early game but that you will later. Markers allow you to always remember where there s an area you couldn t go to so you don t forger about it when you get a new ability
Possible (minor) spoiler warning! So a few things; -The City Crest is used later down the line; you'll know when you need it. -You should consider doing the miniboss sleeping in the bottom right; there's some stuff there that can come in useful -I would advise getting the markers for special places (benches, hot springs, etc.) from Iselda (map-lady in Dirtmouth); they make life way easier! -Please continue this series! If you need any help/tips, I'm happy to help! I'm part of the HK-wiki team and have beated (almost) everything there is to this game (for those who want to know and know abreviations, I just have abp3, abp4 and abp5 to go and have fully completed the Pale Court mod + RHoG in Pale Court and with AIKG), so if your in need of advice, I'll respond as soon as I can!

Why does this only have 13k views. This video was great, can’t wait for more. Haven’t seen anyone appreciate hollow knight as much as you on their first play through. You’re the ideal hollow knight player and you’re gonna love the rest of what the game has in store for you.
I do hope a second, third, fourth, fifth... Etc. part comes out soon because so far your journey thru the forgotten eternal Kingdom seems amazing. No backseat gaming on my part tho. And i do also hope that neither do the others in the comments (and neither do you. The creator) spoil any of the game (i mean by reading up on it or asking on sites like others sometimes do) hollow knight is a game all about figuring it out yourself
just letting you know because the game doesn't tell you anywhere other than the remap menu, you can use vengeful spirit with r1 instead of circle and it comes out instantly
Make sure to use markers, they make navigation SO MUCH EASIER. When I played through the game for the first time they were not a thing so 100%ing was pretty damn tough (actually it was 112% I believe 😅)
i love this game sm and i will never get bored of new people experiencing it! i hope you play the game till the end. I'll say Hollow night has A LOT of secrets. keep your eyes open for breakable walls. Also, anything can hurt anything in this game, for example the balls that false knight(first boss) throw you at the fight, you could have hit them towards the boss to damage it. keep that in mind for your future fights. and i don't know if you have been there yet but check out the room above the entrance of Green Path! Also, a little tip, if you quit to menu and re-enter the game, you will be spawnd at the last bech you checked and all your progress will be saved. with this, you can escape dire situations like if you are stuck and about to die. also, if you die again before getting your shadow back, your money will be gone forever.
Man I haven't watched a playthrough esque video for a while, I keep saving the experience for when I "eventually play the games". Hollow Knight is one of the only ones I can watch playthroughs of since I have actually gone through with starting and completing (sort of). Nevertheless, I miss watching vids like these :)
I don't know what it is but something about watching someone learn things that already I learned makes me feel happy. Play through the whole game please it's a masterpiece +1 subscriber
I would say hope you finish this before silksong comes out but it will probobly come out 2088 tbh so you got all the time in the world ( this is my first ever video im seeing of your content and its great 👍)
Some tips here i recommend to NOT GO TO DEEPNEST it is an end game area and also to try and get as much money as possible and there is a shoop keep called sly that is at the guz mother boss(the big fly) after you kill it go down and go into the houses to find sly oh and yoj missed a chsrm at the very beginning of the game there was a room that you could have gone into and last thing the city creast is for a much later area
Great video. Pro tip: use the quick cast button to cast spells, instead of the focus button. I'm not sure why the game never mentions it. It's the right button by default
A small titbit of game accuracy advice, the Knight (the player character) is canonically genderless, and is referred to with they/them pronouns. Using he or she can really trigger some members of the community, which could be unfavourable as this series grows. Other than that, great video!
I can’t watch sonethinv where you edit over the beautiful music of this game. Not to mention, you still have it playing so you can hear it behind your edited music.
I just beat hollow knight and if you haven’t made any more progress since the video I’ll say this your in for a rough ride this game puts your perseverance to the test
btw u should try to switch to using R1 for spells cuz with B the game waits to see if ur using a spell or healing so R1 is faster. hollow knight's one of my fav games so gl wt playing it :D
