@@manuxalunx6522 There's a theory that the first time the first flame started to go out, humanity's power grew as the god's power waned. When Gwen linked the fires, he also linked humanity to the flame. My own personal theory is that undeath did not include becoming hollow originally. The idea is that if the fire finally goes out, the curse will be lifted. Of course, because this is just a theory, it could just as easily be the end of humanity, which is what most people in Dark Souls believe.

This song always makes me think of the poem: "Do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light" I almost feel like that epitomizes the entire soulsborne genre of games. It's about overcoming seemingly impossible odds through grit and determination and at the end of it all you get to pick your fate, no one else.

I just got the fucking joke, we are battling the last boss of the soul series being a slave knights of the first ever age of fire, which he consumes the blood of old turned to dust, meanwhile our MC is a character born from the ashes of 1000 smoldering failures. We are literally fighting Dust with Ash. “Ashes to ashes and Dust to dust” Funny and Ironic at the same time.

So, I have a sort of guess for the "world" of Dark souls, what if the "real world" was actually just a painting, and that this is the cycle, that has been going on forever, every time a world ends, a new one is painted, both with the dark soul, but fire always making its way in, or maybe they combine to make a dark flame, making something completely new, anyway, that's just what I like to believe, an infinite cycle of dark and fire.

Havn't had one of these in some time, and I gotta say its a damn good job you all did there. There are not alot of channels as good as Vaati's here, and its things like the Soul Songs and Prepare to Cry that got me interested in Dark Souls in the first place. I am glad From Software actually sat down and thought about what bosses that had worked the best in the series, and the lone humanoid warrior is definitely the best type of boss From has created. Gwyn, Artorias, Maria, Gehrman, Elfride, and finally Slave Knight Gael. They took the time to make sure the final boss of the series is one that nearly every player can enjoy and appreciate. There is no doubt that this is the best written soul song today, however it lacks the impact like Lordvessel or Hollow, and that makes me little sad cus its cool as fuck
