This week's video is another request from a fellow RU-vid user. Soulsonic Force - Looking For The Perfect Beat (chisel316 cover). All the details are in the video this time. Hope you enjoy it!
John Robbie and Arthur Baker were very creative when it came to composition. The name of the song is called: Looking for the perfect beat, and it has beat changes almost all the time. Your cover was very good!
I'm glad you like, Benja! Here's a playlist of all my electro and hip hop covers. Hope you enjoy it! ru-vid.com/group/PL4jINfVzCSPWxUyEHEs53ZdzkJh4H1GXq

Listening to this is like hearing it being created before the artist put there lyric over it before rehearsal.I bet this sounds very close to how is was created during the process before remastering it for production. Sounds like I'm back in the 80's hearing this for the first time before it was put on By Vinyl.
Thanks for the comment, Derrick. I never thought of it that way. Here's a whole playlist of songs for you to enjoy and bring back good memories. Peace \/ ru-vid.com/group/PL4jINfVzCSPWxUyEHEs53ZdzkJh4H1GXq
Omg, takes me back to 1983 when I first bought the original 12inch. Thank you so much for this....sound clean...hope you release a cd or downloads of this & it would be awesom if Arthur Baker & John Robie commission the original DATs so you can remastered them or remix them....BRAVO...new subscriber here👏
Thanks for the kind words and sub, ark1492. It's comments like this that make me happy to share my performances online. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm glad my video brought back good memories. That's always the goal. 😀 Peace \/
@@chisel316 Absolutely will share your work with fellow ex DJ's from the 80's friends of mine here in California... I remember hearing the instrumental on the b side & just getting lost in the mix from Baker & Robie, saying to myself, how in the hell did they venture so far away from the straight forward sounds of Planet Rock to this headed production of Perfect Beat. I really love the ending of the instrumental with, I assume is John Robie playing keboard theme references against Bambaataa name dropping different countries in earth. That was a magical moment for me as a 15 year old record collector & the awe & wonderment as to how & what equipment they are using is a big deal for us 80's kids & again, watching you create & master those magical important machines of yesteryear is highly important and even more highly appreciated by me, again Thank You👏👏👏👏 Chisel1316 It's Working🤘😯🤟
I've had it for awhile now. I've used it on other songs posted here. It was hidden under the table on a cardboard box until I got another table and 3-tier rack.
Thanks, Darryl! Done it. I'll warn ya right now, it's far from my best effort. I have lots of cover songs here you might enjoy. Thanks for checking out my channel. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gv_FvgzYlhw.html

chisel316 quick question... what original synth is being used for most of the Late 80’s freestyle? As an example Expose’ - “point of no return” lead synth and baseline? You should do that one ! 😉
Memories of my childhood back in the early 80s. When i would hear these songs back then as a kid i always thought outer space And robots lol i always wondered how these songs were made back then, Because back then songs like these sounded so amazing. We also Breakdanced to alot of these Oldschool B.Boy Breakin Classics. You also have a Nice set up of equiptment And you do a great job recreating songs...🎶👍👍👍😎
Thank you so much for sharing your memories, Ant! Mine are similar. I remember laying down cardboard in the school yard and clearing the furniture in the living room so we can breakdance! Great memories for sure! Peace \/
