I have never had a problem with them. If sports fans singing and chanting is too loud for you, either avoid them or have your noise cancellation head phones or ear plugs ready.

@@FirstmaninRome Oh sorry we do actually already have American style diners in the UK. They are just not as common as cafes and restaurants. I have been to 2 in the past. They were OK.
