@@AK-w.a.f.I I would absolutely choose the Yamaha over the Donner. The Yamaha is much warmer than the Donner. Buy the Yamaha and Behringer pedals. The Behringer pedals are awesome for the price @ $25 each. I bought the 7 band equalizer EQ700. It gives you a lot of flexibility for your tone. If you want to play rock or heavy metal I suggest the UM300 distortion pedal. Their digital delay is the VD400. Sweetwater sells the Yamaha and the pedals all free shipping. Myself I play the Sire Larry Carlton S3 strat guitar through a Korg ToneWorks X1000G pedal board and like I said I added the Behringer EQ. I also ordered the Behringer compressor sustainer pedal which is arriving later today.
Damn awesome, i think this review cleaned my mind, i was searching for a electric guitar and i wasn't able to decide wich one buy ... u did amazing! Thx for it!
Today I was looking for videos about versatile guitars, I had an Ibanez, it served a lot but the sound used to feel very strong, as a more metalhead, I saw that they recommended the Yamaha Pacifica and seeing that it is so versatile in all its styles makes me love it 🎉
beautifully played. i'm thinking about getting the yamaha pacifica for my first electric. i was wondering if you were playing/covering a certain song at 1:37 for the clean chorus tone? it has a wonderful tuning.
Hey man, i would totally recommend this guitar this was my very first one and i think it’s probably better than any squier out there. It’s perfect for anything stays in tune all the time has great pickups etc… If i was a begginer again i would totally buy this guitar, no regrets.
Squier's tone is very Fender like. While Pacifica has no personality. Almost completely neutral and bland. This is purely subjective. If you like it, you'll like it. But if you don't, you don't. If you're looking something sounds like Fender? Go with Squier. Something sounds like Gibson? Go with Epiphone. Something sounds like Ibanez? Go with Ibanez. Etc
I have a Squier Stratocaster Affinity (sss) , a Ibanez GIO grx20 black and this Yamaha Pacífica and is the loudest guitar and heavy too i don't know if the weight is maybe 11 pounds 😮 and the Ibanez 8 pounds and the Squier 7 pounds or less(3,5 kgs).
Great guitars...I own several... All modified... I bought the first one ( with a maple fingerboard ) back in 2004... They're not just gorgeous they're built like tanks and versatile... Even in their unmodified conditions...
@@drew5710 That's because of the 5-way switch in the guitar : The second position ( bridge + middle ) automatically splits the bridge humbucker... But if you want to split the bridge humbucker on its own you'll need a push-pull potentiometer 🙂 It usually replaces the volume control...
@@drew5710 He's fiddling with the volume and tone controls, the 5-way switch and of course all the amps and effects he's using whether they're real or virtual...
