First episode of the Sound Design Theory series.
To make any sound you'll need 3 things:
- A sound source (a sound to process)
- Effect modules (to process the sound)
- Control modules (to add movement to the sound)
In this episode we'll focus on the first category, and more particularly on the oscillator. See how they work and the different tricks you can do with such "simple" modules.
TIMESTAMPS:
0:00 Intro
0:44 Oscillators and Waveforms
3:03 Controls
4:05 Stacking Oscillators
4:30 Intervals
5:24 Fine Detune (and supersaw)
7:46 Poly VS Mono (Glide)
8:35 Noise
9:29 Wavetables

Your channel is one of the most underrated channels on RU-vid in this field. It is a damn shame and not fair that you don't have several hundreds of thousands of subscribers!

This is the best guide ive seen, and ive seen them all. What makes it so good is that you keep it short and simple. Ive seen videos thats 1 hour long that explains this much worse than you do here! Keep it up!

Question: IF the ringmodulator puts out only the sum and difference, how is it possible to tune it to a certain note of the guitar audio signal that acts as the carrier?
