Sound is an aspect of life, but is life an aspect of sound?

In this entertaining an imaginative presentation, acoustic physics pioneer, John Stuart Reid, discusses abiogenesis, the origin of life. Filmed in 2019 at the Water Conference, in Bad Soden, Germany, he hypothesises that the structuring and organising principle of pre-biotic compounds in the primordial oceans was sound. In this model, Faraday Wave (cymatic) patterns on the surface of microscopic bubbles were instrumental in creating the first protocells, from which more complex cells evolved. (The video clip from Professor Tadashi Tokieda is shown with permission.)

Unbelievable! I'm on my journey right now in discovering this truth. I wonder what else i'll come across tonight?

Thanks for your work and this video. If "butterflies and angels" are regarded as simulacra, why would these images not fall into the same category, only of what would appear to be a higher complexity? It is easier to critique the "seer" of the former images, due to the acknowledged subjectivity of such interpretations. Could it not also be argued that the image pairs of the diatoms or the trilobite are to whatever degree unsimilar, seeing the cymascope images are almost completely symmetrical in comparison to those "real-life" ones with little noticeable variances? (I'll grant, though, the first time I saw that image, I wondered why there was a 3-D rendering of a trilobite...lol) Also, if one could show that sound can be used to organize matter from disorder, how does that nullify the possibility of an intelligence using (or perhaps even creating) sound as such a tool? "Let there be light." In what medium would these words have been transmitted, and was it the specific amplitude or modulation which gave them power, or was there an authority or power BEHIND the words that did the work? "I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Keep searching for Truth. I'm in awe of your ability to calm and restrain your mind to search the minute. I hope we all find that the smaller we study this existence, the larger we realize the parts we play. Last thing. For a year, I worked in a manual labor job. While resting, I noticed rust on a wall. I had a very bright light and looked at the rust so close my eyelashes brushed it. To this day, one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, with more colors than I'd ever seen before in nature, is rust. It was like rainbow crystals. To me, this is what you are doing, and it is a beautiful thing: Minute, but Marvelous. Again, I thank you.

Would be really interesting to put frequencies on a bubling Miller-Urey soup and see if some more permanent structures could be detected after some time (maybe on microscopic levels)
