He picks them up at the end of the show and throws them in the audience. At least that what he did in Vienna in 2012 and I was lucky enough to catch one!!! :)

Fun little fact, when they perform in an arena or stadium Tré usually hides a pair of drumsticks somewhere in the seats

At one of the Green Day shows I went to, there were techs picking them up throughout the whole show. They started giving them out to the people crowding by the back gates (we ere hoping to see the band). I managed to get two sticks.

@@AA-nb8vj Mike Portnoy is a good drummer, however Tré Cool is unique and Billie and Mike have gone on the record saying that they became better musicians because they had to keep up with Tré's level of playing
