What blows me away most about these videos is not the gear choices but Rabea's ability to mimic the styles of the greats at will. You are a tremendous guitar player!

I had the privilege of meeting Gary Moore through Make a Wish, and had a long chat to him about music and his life, and he was one of the most humble people I have ever met :) I gotta see him at the Leicester Blues Festival in 2008 (De Montfort Hall) and was blown away. His music has etched its way into my heart, and I will never understand why he didnt crush the US charts, as a musician myself if I ever get anywhere I want to get his stuff rereleased as a tribute to him :) Would love nothing more than to get him some posthumous recognition that I feel he hasnt gotten. He was an inspiration for many and he will always mean a lot to me. irreplaceable and impossible to immitate

Thank you for doing my request, if not directly aimed at me. Gary Moore is in my top ten guitarists he could go from heavy speed rock/metal to heart wrenching blues in an instances. He was such an underrated guitarist. Everyone talks about the Clapton, Hendrix and Paige but to me Gary Moore deserves to be in with those heavy weights easily.

I never paid attention to it when I watched this video when it was uploaded. But Gary Moore actually used to switch between a TS9 and a TS10 he used the TS10 more. He also used a Boss DS-1 to boost his strats. But THE MOST IMPORTANT PEDAL HE USED is the Marshall Guv'nor. He used an SDE-3000 For delay and an SRE-555 for chorus/echo

Have you guys ever thought of doing a "versatility" section for these videos? For example, a bit before the end of the video, using all the same gear, dial in a totally different tone (metal, indie rock etc). Then before the video is done go back to the original artist tone you were shooting for. I feel like it'd be a nice little bonus for people are shooting for a certain tone, but also want to be able to have a drastically different sound if they ever need to.

You missed the mark, gentlemen. Moore's Les Paul tone was bright and saturated and heavy. There's too much "woman tone" in what you got here. Recommendation: Decent Epiphone Les Paul with a GOOD set-up, a cranking, Marshall-like tube ("valve" to Limeys) amp, then hit the front end of that amp with the TS-808 reissue with the volume turned all the way up and the "Drive" turned all the way down. All this goodness will have to be presented via a closed-back cab with something like Celestion G12M-25 Greenbacks or G12H-30's in it. Alternatively, you could run the Les Paul into the TS-808 into a tube ("valve") overdrive pedal into a clean amp with a closed-back cab. You'd still have a few quid left over to get yourself a delay and reverb pedal. Boom!

I thoroughly enjoy these videos and you both do a great job. I'm very appreciative of them, so thanks guys. I have a question on this one because I'm not sure you need a delay for this, and if you had an amp with reverb, you wouldn't need that either. I'm also thinking that a twin channel amp of sightly higher wattage, (for headroom) would give you both a dirty and clean lead sound BOTH capable of matching with a drummer. I don't often comment because I can't play like you, and you usually nail it, but having listened to LOADS of Gary Moore I would say that the lead tone is slightly too saturated.

Love watching these guys and I’ve been practicing every morning for two hours at a time and I’ve begun to notice how much better I have become. It takes time but eventually you break through an invisible barrier that makes you a better and more well rounded player. And it’s so enjoyable that getting better is never a chore.

One thing that really stuck in my mind was something David Gilmour said, and that is, he could go to any decent music store in the world and pick out the stuff he needs to get that certain sound. It doesn't need to be anything rare or hard to find. When "they" say tone is in the fingers, it's the same fingers that are turning knobs and opening wallets....

How about to put in the 1500£ budget: cables, power supplies, and eventually a strap / guitar picks? You won't get those for free in a music store!

808 Tubescreamer, Marshall Bluesbreaker and a Marshall Guv'nor were Gary's go-to for overdrive/ distortion.
