It is deep into the night, and the sound of a bird call can be heard. It is 2.17 am in late December, and the vocalization from an avian that might be from the owl species known as the Long-eared owl is calling out with the sounds of a Dublin city suburb in the background. The owl bird species in Ireland are the Long-eared owl, the Barn owl, and the short-eared owl. But the Tawny owl has been spotted on occasion as possibly been blown off course from this bird's native lands.
