I remember listening to this song in tears on my bed several nights years back when my ex traveled abroad and we grew apart. 😭😭😭. I've moved on but listening to this song again just made me feel a pinch of that pain. Hmmmm. RIP Sound Sultan. This was my fav song by you.

2 years ago. I was the lead role in a stage play centered around the SARS protests. I played a young man named Akani who was from london but moved back to Nigeria amid the SARS movement. In my opening scene I sang this song... Im not Nigerian but I am forever connected to this song, and the people of Nigeria, in a major way ! Big love to 9ja

This song been coming back to me , also the fact I heard in Rugers new song ASIWAJU , BROUGHT me to come look for the video , annoyingly I couldn't find the original version on spotify. Anyway this Song and Mathematics ( Jagbajantis) is like the reality of most nigerians now... there's never been this Exodus of nigerians like we have never experiencing it before....... In summary its amazing that we had a Legend who put this in a song that also still resonate almost 2 decades later. RIP sound sultan
