I only have "Speakers(Intel Smart Sound Technology)" as output devince, both when I am using my laptop speakers and my earphones. Also I don't have Stereo Mix.

*bows down to the king* You are the *only* person to address my issue. After an hour, i said "F this, I need help" and literally nothing addressed how i just set up a DAW and it played in both my headphones and PC. I couldnt figure it out....but you did. Thank you You rock 🤜🤛🙌

called volume mixer now but if you search app volume itll show up as an option and you can do this same stuff from there (on windows 11) thanks for the quick and easy video for help though!

Quick and really straight to the point tutorial, I've been struggling to make my speakers and headphones works at the same time, I even download audio drivers to make it work but still they work separately and need to pick just one audio output. This just solve my problem. Thank you so much!!!

When I DJ, I record internally to Rekordbox and I use cameras to film me mixing. If I use a speaker, it makes it easy for me to sync the audio in post when I get the video out of my cameras.

Came here looking for help on playing a game through my headset but also through the pc speaker so my partner could watch without my gameplay being hindered. couldn't get this to work, but i'll be messing around with it and im sure i'll figure out how to make it work. this video was very well put together. Saved it in case i figure it out, and i'll come back to edit the comment. if it's something different, I'll add that solution here.

Did you figure it out bc I’m trying to do the same thing want game audio coming through my speakers and my headset so people can watch but can still hear or I wanna be able to just play without headsets sometimes without changing all my settings

@@KoolAidX817 sorry, no update yet. couldnt figure it out in terms of software, but a wired headset and a speaker with an AUX cord, and a headphone splitter should do the trick. i need to buy a headphone splitter.

You can go to control panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage audio devices > Recording. You should probably be able to find Stereo mix there.

You have to right click the list of devices and then click "Show disabled devices". Stereo mix is hidden by default.

You missed 1 step - set 'Speaker' as the default device in 'Playback' tab.

Thanks for mentioning using splitter. I am learning drums and want to play drum-less music tracks and have speakers to hear but headphones to hear but protect my ears from the drums.

Is there a way to switch between monitor speakers to headphones when using an interface so i can record vocals without the speakers in the background then switch the monitors back on so i can hear what it sounds like without getting the monitor playback into the microphone?

You're a life saver! 🔥🤯 I needed to cast Firefox browser's audio from RU-vid website to my living room's TV, while I listen to Chrome's audio on my bluetooth headphones. You made that happen!!! How do you do it with Sterio headphones? When both are plugged in, Windows always defaults to one device in the speaker selection always showing realtech audio device.

In my "Sound" settings, there's only speakers and no headphones, despite headphones plugged in ..and in the stereo mixer under "Recording" tab, there's no headset options in the device list under Listen tab/playback device. ~~~Nice video albeit, though I still have the issue of sounds coming out of speakers, when I don't want it to do so, only want headphone audio

For the same audio to two different headphones, something like an audio splitter cable would definitely work, but they'd need to be wired headphones. Unsure if a bluetooth equivalent exists, but if you for example just want to watch something with someone next to you on a plane, or listen to music with someone else in a public environment, its better than no solution.

Thank You for help but when I did it I have a weird problem after that. The music is playing from both devices but now my keyboard doesnt work. I have to unplug headphones to use keyboard. Do You know how to fix that and why I have this problem? Thanks in advance

I use this setup for gaming, the bigger drivers on speakers deliver good bass and the Headphones provide directional audio

I was thinking to use my IEM earphones and a subwoofer at the same time as my Meze Audio Rai Penta sound pretty great but its missing the bass feel, especially during war movies such as the great Hacksaw Ridge movies. The audio through my earphones is really good but the bombing was Really underwhelming as it just lacked the necessary bass. Some acapella music I listen too among other music and movie soundtracks would really benefit from bass as long as I can output to two sources at once.

i have a dinasaur desktop PC (HP, Windows 7 pro, outdated Chrome). I need a mic and headphones for online volunteer communications work. I am completely computer illiterate. I need to use the headphones and mic during work, i also need to switch to regular external speakers once i'm finished work. Do you know if the splitter is the easiest way to solve my issue? Plug only the headset/mic in while working, and switch plugs to listen through my external speakers?

Can I ask one question? I have speakers plugged in back panel and headphones in front panel. If I use front panel to connect headphone, the headphone audio is also recorded through the mic. So whenever i am playing game or recording, my desktop sound can be heard by my teammates. Is there a solution to it

What kind of hardware do i need to avoid lagging issues with the playback using the sound mixer? I mean Im on an I7 laptop that runs things way more complex than dual audio flawlessly, it seems to me that it is actually a software issue and for some reason if I set my alexa as my default sound device, and try to listen in the mixer my computer speakers, it just sound some looped sound, but if my speakers are the default, and the alexa is the listening device on the mixer it works well but with some delay, and my cpu is not even at 10% use
