I'm just starting to find the steering wheel, no idea how to find a gas pedal, but definitely not pumping the brakes! Greatly appreciate the driver's course.
right back at yah! If you are reading this, I hope you know you are unique and capable of creating amazing things. Wish you lots of health, happiness and success 💛
Kinda new to this but what I can tell you, is the process for SoundCloud and or Repost Is somewhat daunting in particular areas. Therefore people look to YOU for clarification. Awesome, bcuz you serve that purpose. I have one song monetized thru RePost as a testing of the water before I may decide to go all in, which at this point, the water is too chilly for me. Im old skool and quite frankly, a bit impatient. Im thinking of either Distrokid or CDbaby. I got songs thats ready to go but dont need the confusion. Keep doin what your doin. 👍🏾
Hello sir! I am launching a label and would like to ask, since most of my listeners are on Soundcloud and youtube, is it possible to monetize soundcloud streams with tunecore?
@Adrian Barrin I notice you use distro kid. I'm curious why Distro kid instead of the others there are. Do you have a recent video on that topic perhaps? Btw you got my sub with this vid, well done.
Soundcloud is like youtube. All we are really doing is adding value to the brand. Making literally no money and they are charging us for chasing our dreams. Dreams that most people will never realise but SoundCloud will never tell you that. Alternatively, you can upload your music for others to consume for free and never get paid for it. Again, adding value to Soundcloud. For 99.9% of people, SoundCloud is Loose.
True. I am unfortunately spending more on Next Pro than I am making back, but of course the promise of Next Pro is that I will be a Pro someday, RIGHT???
hi, the problem with soundcloud is that they will monetize your tracks only if you will pay them 145$ a year for pro ultimate.... this is really shame of them to do that. but nice video!
nice video, good work! i need help with setting up the monetization, i want to set everything up and then it says sign your tax form but when i click "sign form" nothing happens. also i dont have this "soundcloud monetization" button at 11:44.. idek why but setting up this stuff is so freaking complicated to me wth is goin on :((
Hey this is a greate guide, I'm having an issue I'm monetized my tracks have dollar sign but the Monetization tab on the setting doesn't appear as you show on the video.
@@AdrianBarrin my tracks say monetized and they have $ blue sign also I click all the requirements already 😎 and over 50k streams a month they fail to reply any of my emails i would swith so fast uf its not because i have like 30 release with them already, i dont wanna do all over again.
I had multiple songs get removed for copyright. Can I still make money on different songs that I upload? Is there a difference between a copyright strike and getting your song removed for copyright?
hey bro, one of soundcloud's rules is your profile cant have copywrite strikes at the time of applying for monetization. check out my video that im dropping today about Fan Royalty
@@AdrianBarrin So, if the music distribution company that is distributing my music has created a SoundCloud artist profile artist account for me, would there be any way for me to access that profile?
So the streams on RepostExchange don't count for monetization, but what about the streams that come from followers on their profiles after they've reposted? And I don't have the "monetization" tab on the "edit" section of my tracks, I guess that may be because I already have Repost? I'm getting a clearer picture of why I haven't made as much money as I expected with all this, but its a bit disappointing that maybe 10% or less of my streams have made me any money.
Hi, my last research into monetizing said the track was to be recorded with real instruments = a real drum set and live drummer, real violins and players. etc.How can I afford to do that and earn $0.56 per month???
What is the difference in monetizing through soundcloud and through repost? Also, I have less than a hundred followers and past 30 days I only have 600+ streams in total. Should I start with the SoundCloud Pro now or not yet? I mean does the SoundCloud Pro features will help me gain followers/streams on top of the marketing strategies like social media kind of stuff?
@@AdrianBarrin Thank you if you can make a video reviewing and explaining the features of soundcloud pro besides the repost, and should we go for a soundcloud pro or not yet, that will be helpful.
i completed the process and everything and got paid but about a month later when i renewed my subscription it took away my monetization rights but repost claims my songs are still approved for monetization but premier says im no longer apart of the monetization program, so lost
Please does SoundCloud pro unlimited copyright your musics on SoundCloud coz it seems someone can just sit in his bedroom and upload your stuffs without asking for a permission
Man... You missin' out. What about publishing? Getting paid for masters is chump change. Learn about publishing! It's confusing at first, but you need to get on it if you an independent. Love the content bro!
@@AdrianBarrin like helping artists understanding publishing rights, for example when they go buy a beat and make the song.... How does the process work when splitting royalties. I don't know how to explain it but mainly a video on music distribution and how to upload your song safely
can you help i can not see monotize option i only see the medata but i have a pro unlimited can you let me know how i can get monotize option thnak you.
I’ve distributed 2 ep’s I’m at $7 in stream revenue and have yet to receive a pay out. I don’t understand when or how I’ll receive the money. I’ve filled out everything needed for a direct deposit. Just not sure how or when they send u money.
Ok juss recently been got my streams up on SoundCloud I saw it said you need 500 streams in the last month or so to be eligible and they’ll email you be monetized but it hasn’t happened yet
@@AdrianBarrin Just one more question: So I have SoundCloud Pro unlimited, I have all my links to my social medias. I dropped a mixtape last month on distrokid, I received 62 streams. Then I put it on SoundCloud, I was confused because I thought the streams would have came from Spotify. I did this after the fact, my plays are organic and I still haven't seen the monetization choice when I click.
I have a question so my soundcloud is actually doing pretty good right now and i have 120k plays in a week and 154 followers and when i’m signed into another account i get ads on my own music but i don’t have pro or unlimited or anything. is there a way i can still get paid??
i linked my paypal and made sure everything is correct and it says it sends me the money but nothing shows up do u know if its bc im in Canada or anything
You can but if the song blows up expect to hear from someone. N they’ll most likely take it down at that time. But as a smaller artist you can. You don’t even have to give credit unless the producer takes legal action
How do you monetise off songs that you don't own but they haven't had a copyright strike since being uploaded, just querying as i have over 13 million plays 🤔
Can you do it like this like all old tracks leave as it is by using plan premier pro and all future tracks monetize by repost by the upgraded unlimited pro plan?
@@AdrianBarrin I used to have premiere pro and I have many songs released and put on monetization by using the premier pro plan. Now I switched to premier Pro unlimited which one you have in this video. So my question can leave those old tracks alone which I have released by using the Premier pro plan and use the repost feature for all new released? because I have so many tracks and I am going to have to go thro each one which I am trying to avoid. In another word can I used both types of monetization by leaving all my old tracks alone and all-new released use repost for monetization. I hope this will help to clear my question. It is a little complicated question. One more: I heard monetization by using repost the share is 80% (which is under premier pro unlimited by using repost feature) and 55% share if you use premier pro plan. Monetization by using repost is more.
Hey, you don't have to move all your songs over to Repost. I have all my songs being monetized in SoundCloud. In regards to shares, I will have to look into that since I've never heard that before. If you want to move everything over however, go for it. If it was me and I wanted to use Repost, I would only move my new tracks over if necessary. But I'm fine with monetizing on SoundCloud alone since my distributor is Distrokid.

Hey bro, I don't use Repost by SoundCloud for monetization. I monetize via SoundCloud itself. Also, I would never advise using someone else's music/beats - there wouldn't be any copyright issues otherwise
@@AdrianBarrin Thanks! And how much time does it take Repost By Soundcloud to upload a song to other platforms?? I've been waiting for like 3 days and it is still in review...
Forgive the confusion, but doesn't Soundcloud own "Repost by Soundcloud" now? Seems strange that Soundcloud "can't" run ads on what is essentially theirs. Is this still the case, or have things changed in the meantime?
And if indeed that is the case, what would be the point in distribution, without pay? Not sure I'm going to get an answer, and that's totally understandable; but I am struggling to figure this out on my onesie. West Bishes!
I have a pro unlimited account and when I edit my track I don't have the option to monetize...like it doesn't appear on the screen where yours did please help...I have 759 followers, 20+ tracks, 2 eps, and more on the way
I bet you that there are people that went to college and spent 10's of thousands of dollars and years of their life, just to end up knowing what you learned on this one video.
