Some youtuber said that soundcore liberty nc 4 mic is not that great but I tried it myself by calling a dummy account on my laptop and I'm telling everyone that my voice is clean and clear, my gf also told me that I sound good when I call her using Liberty NC 4 earbuds. ANC is top notch that I cannot hear background noice and same time the sound is really good. The bass is also very good as long as you change the EQ in the soundcore application. I am happy and satisfied with my earbuds so far 🥰
I have both the Liberty 4 NC and the P40i, and both are pretty good but it comes down to how important good ANC is to you. The Liberty 4 NC is among the best especially for its price, but it does have some issues. Biggest is the shape/size of the nozzle as it's difficult to find good 3rd party tips that fit well. (It has this weird oval shape with a flange at the ends making those other tips difficult to stay in, they'll fit for a brief period but will fall out while sticking in your ear) Now the P40i comes pretty close to audio quality but it is a slight downgrade. And the ANC is functional but no where near the level of the Liberty 4 NC. Transparency for both are close but again the L4NC takes the lead. What the P40i does better is much longer battery life and a better fitting nozzle for 3rd party tips. (SpinFit works great and even longer double flanged eartips work too as the case is more roomy for ear tips) I stuck with the P40i in the end as they're more friendly to SpinFit tips and others. Really wished the Liberty 4 NC had a longer nozzle to make 3rd party tips fit properly.
I heard the bass is much better in the P40i can you confirm? I have AirPods Pro 2 but I’m getting bored of them I also own the soundcore A40 buds and those are very nice for the price but I lost one bud so I was looking to buy the p40i due to the long battery, size and bass is it worth it more than the L4NC? Right now they’re $50 on Amazon 😬
I couldn't tell you as I'm a total dullard with bass and totally clueless about that. The audio in the P40i was just fine for me but I'd keep the receipt or buy these somewhere that lets you return at full price. I like them and will be using them for quite a bit.
@@mwbryant1977 It was the CP100 Plus and I used the S size for my ears. And the Liberty 4 NC are close in size but the big difference in size is the length of the nozzle where the eartips are. The P40i are almost an extra cm longer giving more room for the CP100 Plus tips to fit. The Liberty 4 NC would fall out of my ear while the tips stayed inside. Which is a shame as the Liberty 4 NC have some amazing sound quality and near top tear noise canceling. Outdoing what I had with the Pixel Buds Pro and my Jabra Elite 8 Active. But the P40i are a good basic pair of buds.
I'm currently using Liberty 4NC for almost 8 months now, and I can confirm it sounds louder than the Sony XM5, which I tested recently in a huge gadget store in Kuwait back and forth with my 4NC because I was looking to upgrade my earbuds to a new one and surprisingly it got great sound quality as well compared to XM5. I couldn't nitpick anything about it. It's still worth the buck in 2024. 🙂
Im between the Liberty NC 4 and the Engine 4, the Liberty seems to have more features but the engine 4 I heard has the best sound quality? What are your thoughts?
Thanks again Kenneth. From your reviews that I have seen on Soundcore products, they seems to be quite bassy. Do you think they are suitable for someone looking for clarity especially in dialogue? I mostly prioritise conversation, either in virtual meeting or in diague within a movie or a commentary on RU-vid. Thank you very much it you can provide some insight and definitely looking forward to your review on nothing ear (a).
Hello! I usually found Moondrop earbuds to focus more on vocals, but most TWS you can EQ as well although with soundcores the bass will still be quite a lot Even the Engine4 I believe would sound great, I’ll see what I can do about Nothing buds though!
I hope you can try the nc feature outside where there are people talking around because sometimes the mic takes the noise from the people at the back instead of the user I mean they are louder than t-e person using the device,
Thanks for the comparison, honestly i’m really just interested in the noise canceling feature for when i feel socially or sensory overwhelmed. Borrowed my friend’s L4NC and was so amazed at the how it lowers the noise and with not so significant occlusion as well! I have the urge to throw my Loop Engage+ Earplugs after trying L4NC 😂 how many % of noise cancellation do you think P40i is compared to L4NC? Like, maybe L4NC is twice more quiet than P40i?
Hey Ken hope u can reply this question, my R50i nc has weird noise when using the transparency mode, why i can tell it? Its very distinguishable when switching modes (from normal to transparency) Are yours too? Or its just mine.. Thankyou..
The sound produced depends on the the phone. I have an XM4 for almost 2 years, used on a Samsung Note10+, LG G7+ and Sony XZ3, the sound is very loud at 50-60%. But when used on the Huawei Mate 30 pro, it must be set at 80-90% to achieve the same sound from the other three phones.
Anyone advice on Libery 4 NC vs jbl tune Beam? can't decide which to buy. I work in very noicy environment so I need good noise cancelling but also have to often tall on the phone whilst at work so preferably would like to have good mic too
It seems that they have made some new items and updated the new items. Do you recommend buying Liberty 4 NC or will they make something better or a better generation?
Hi! I was skimming for TWS earphones, until I saw your Moondrop Space Travel video and R50i NC. I'm really on a tight budget. I'm still debating which one to buy. What do you recommend between the two? Or is there another TWS under 20$?
Bought r50i NC, the transparency mode cld rlly be better, I need to lower the volume almost to mute to hear conversations. The anc is nice, but not as nice as galaxy buds 2. ( I lost my Galaxy buds lol ) Overall for a cheap price it's 👍
Soundcore R50i NC vs Soundpeats Free2 Classic. What's your take boss? A video comparison of these budget buds would be great for less rich & budget guys like me. Some ppl in the world just really cant afford $50++ earbuds....😂 like myself. Thank u😊
Klo di compare sama earfun free pro 3, oneplus buds 3, galaxy buds fe, ANC/NC bukan prioritas yang penting sound quality, bass yang eank gak muddy/bleed ke mids, soundstage, dan high gak pedas 😅. Makasih bang
@Kenneth Tanaka please help me decide between Soundcore R50i NC and Moondrop space Travel? in my country both earbuds only 7 bucks difference in price. which one do you recommend. plz help !!
This is a quick comparison video mainly to talk about the most important differences I go more in depth about audio in my full reviews, which are linked in the description 😁
Im actually confused on getting airpods pro 2 vs liberty 4 nc. I do have a20i from them and I really love it as well. Is there anyone here that uses both airpods pro 2 and liberty 4 NC?
I do and would suggest against AirPods Pro 2 these days, there’s one recommendation coming later this Sunday so I recommend checking that out instead Also I think it’ll be fun to pit the AirPods Pro 2 against the best this year, would be pretty fun haha
Hi Kenneth, I would like to let you know that the R50i NC is now available here in the Philippines. Hope you can update your affiliate link. Got mine in Shopee based on your recommendation. Thanks as always!
I like that the r50i nc mic quality is not too big of a drop compared to its brothers, it's still keep up even though in Indonesia it has the cheapest price, quite bargain I think😂
Yeah I was a bit surprised as well, but it’s much… coarse probably is a good word to descibe it, compared to the clean and full bodied L4NC mic Not that I complain for the price, most others are just being there for being there haha
I just brought a r50i nc and for some reason there are no audio separation, like if you test left right audio test they are both same as a mono channel, any fix? how can I replace mono to stereo?
Hey can you tell me does does liberty4ANC better than tronsmart Apollo bold? Because currently that my daily driver but the battery is degrading a lots soo i need new upgrade... Because i i bought Apollo bold fews years ago because of you videos...
Hi Ken! Can you give me some advice on choosing between liberty 4 NC and fill cc pro 2? Especially regarding the mic quality, which one is better in noisy conditions?
In-ears are not supposed to leak sound, except you’re listening at maxed volume because these are quite loud, even then these shouldn’t be too crazy like the half in-ear or open-ears So yeah, not sure where do they get that claim from 🤔
Hi Kenn. Will you do a review on the Anker K20i? as I'm looking for a good TrueAir 2 alternative since I want to go back to using half in-ears again. After the TrueAir 2, I went with the Sonic, Mini, Free2 Classic, R50i, and A20i. All of those are good and I am grateful for all your reviews on those. Your opinion matters to us
Great job Kenneth! LOVE the following: 1) The country specific prices really (I mean REALLY) gave me an idea of the "built material" used to make the buds. You get what you paid. BIG help in my deciding which one to potentially buy. 2) the mic quality test is also great! 3) Over all, love your reviews + compare which give me good idea to help with shopping. Keep up the good work. Will go check out if other buds reviews may help me. Much thanks from Calgary, Canada!
I would say either P40i or L4NC will be a good bet, I haven’t seen earbuds with standout transparency since the 1more ComfoBuds Pro days, but generally they’re usable And you can use these soundcores with transparency on only one bud, some (or many) others can’t
Those are all good and I use them all but nothing beats my liberty 4 nc's hands down. For the gym I like the p30i cuz they stay super planted and also sound great.
Hi ken, i was going to buy r50i with 16$ but now i have seen your review for r50i nc which is 30$ in my country My first prefrances is sound quality if iam listening to lectures or white noise if iam studying and nothing else What do you recommend? Is it worth the differance? Thanks in advance for your work, keep moving forward ❤
For 100$ the liberty 4 nc is not a good pair of headphones, like look at the linkbuds s, I just compared both in the same environment and the anc on the linkbuds S is sooooooo much better, even after trying different sizes and the app, the liberty 4nc can't really compete in it's league. Since u can get them for 70$ bucks, their might be better than the linkbuds S in p2p, but if even then it's not what you want to have (my dad has them that's why I compared them, since my Linkbuds S, are just not usable thx to their battery).
DUDE!!! The connect/disconnect sounds are among the features that is NOT mentioned in specs and you're the only reviewer who mentioned it! Thanks! LOVE the objective comparison with the reasonable subjective explanation choices. Also, Love the fact that you'd go INTO an actual noisy environment instead of a fan to do pretend wind "noise" which i find to be SOOOOOO retarded! WIND is NOT the same as a little $10 usb fan...seriously!
Hi Kenneth! I have the P40i and I noticed that when I'm in normal in ambient sound and there is no music or video being played the right earbud will disconnect and reconnect always repeatedly. The only time it will stop reconnect and disconnect if I play music or video or put it on noise cancellation or in transparency mode. In short the repeated disconnect and connecting will only stop 1. I'm playing a music 2. I'm in noise cancellation mode and 3. if I'm in transparency mode. It is only the right earbud that does this. I have already connected it to one galaxy phone so it will not be in Dual Connection but still the same. I reset the bluetooth and wi-fi stting in the phone and unpaired the P40i and reconnected it clean. I also restarted the phone. The earbuds are full batteries even the case is full. Have you encountered that? Can you try that too putting the P40i in normal ambient saound and stop playing music and watch in the Soundcore app if any of the earbuds disconnects and reconnects?
Thanks for making this video. It really relieves me, because P40i was announced just a week after I bought my liberty 4nc and thought I made a bad decision😁
@namedkenn I'm debating between getting the liberty 4s or the R50i NC. The liberty 4's are on sale for $70 while the r50i NC is $35. Is the liberty 4 worth the extra money?
