We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning ru-vid.comUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
Okay, I know i've pretty much been gushing over these headphones. But when you think about what's on offer here, and the fact that these are in some cases $200 cheaper than the competitors, I think these are going to be tough to beat in terms of value this year! 🔥
@@dorate100 I've used both, and the answer is no. The JBLs are not better in any way: build, audio, ANC, and features are all a bit lesser actually. Bose was a bit better on the mid range than the Q30, though from this interview, that may be fixed with the Q35). Neither had better battery life, by a long shot. These are really great headphones and after trying 6 or so different ANCs over Christmas, I went with the Q30 and enjoyed the discount.
Watched a handful of reviews on the Life Q35s and yours was, by far, the most comprehensive. You covered things that I haven't seen anyone else really touch on like, emphasizing the fact of the insane battery life compared to competitors, as well as Soundcore's app having a music streaming community built within the app. Really nice job on the video! Being the owner of both, as well, I think you were pretty much spot on with your assessment in comparing the two. For me, the improvement in audio quality was immediately noticeable. Not that the Q30s are bad (far from it), but, where as, I use a custom EQ for the Q30s, I don't really feel it necessary to use EQ the Q35s. They sound pretty darn great right out of the box. I also feel the comfort has been slightly increased with the upgrade to the ear cups and the headband. I did notice a very, _very_ slight improvement in the ANC, but nothing significant, and definitely not enough of an improvement that I think many would notice. It took me quite a few times of switching the headphones back and forth to actually notice. I've seen quite a few people knock Soundcore because of the price hike on the Q35s, but I feel that to be pretty unfair. At $80, the previous Q30s were already punching *_waayyy_* above their belt in comparison to the current market leaders. And even at $50 more the same can be said with the Q35s. For the refinement you get with the Q35s, especially in the sound, they are, imo, still well worth the price. Though, as you note in the video, the Q30s are still perhaps more deserving of the title of budget king. All right, I guess I am also gushing about these phones, lol. Anyways, thanks again for the comprehensive video. The time you spent on it did not go unnoticed. Cheers!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to give your view on this! 🙌🏼 I completely agree with you too! I certainly spent a lot of time switching between the two to test out the difference. I also saw the comments about the price hike, but you’re right, it’s only because the previous prices have so ridiculously cheap! I said that the Q30s take the title for best value ANC headphones, but the 35s would be deserving of the title too at $130. Just look at competition and ask yourself “what else is really competing here?” and it’s hard to find anything better! Anyway, thanks again for the lovely words and for sharing! 👊🏼
@@insidetechltd Exactly. Even at $130 there isn't really isn't anything competing with them. Their nearest competitor would be themselves..with the Q30s 😆 Scoped your channel and I dig both tech and in-depth comparisons, so you have got yourself a new sub:) Thanks again!

Thank you so much for the review! I purchased the Q30 around the holidays and find them, by far, the best deal in wireless ANC for the money. Your review is spot on on every point. I tried Sony's and Sennheiser's top of the line and couldn't justify the increase in costs. This has better pairing then both of them and only slightly lesser ANC. Really happy to see the improvements for the Q35, though the jump in price is a bit large and looks like a change in strategy (I think I paid around 80 for my Q30s in November). This gives me high hopes for the Q40s, which may be my next pair (I normally put in about 3000 hrs a year on cans, but 2020 and change to WFH has nearly doubled that!)
I'm English ,live abroad and could listen to you all day. I like your expressiveness and paused delivery. Oh by the way, I have 2-yr old Q30s, going strong.
@@insidetechltd You're welcome old chap. My Q30s are my best friend for stressful airports and ensuing flights, diminish significantly background noise and are so comfortable all day. Also fold up into small cabin bags.
This review is superb. After I saw this as well as the Q45 one I decided the Q35 at 107 was right up my alley. I've never owned a pair of these headphones ( Honestly I don't really have any new over the ear headphones ), but you certainly sold me on these and I feel pretty good about my choice after watching this video ^_^.
Wow this was an outstanding review, the best I've watched so far for the Q35s. I was also let down by them not having aptX since my S9+ is optmized for playing music with it, but that's a minor issue. Your video also helped me distinguishing their looks clearer as I haven't noticed the matte finish on other reviews I own a pair of Q10s and was impressed by Anker's quality on this segment. Been thinking on upgrading to either the Q30s or the Q35s for their ANC features. This comparison was very important to me and of big help, thanks a bunch!
@@jintei8524 I got the note 20 ultra and man I personally didn't even know ya could go into the developer options until about 2 yrs ago or 1 yr after owning my note 9 and the apt x Def helped once I enabled that amd disabled absolute volume to get Lil louder.... when I read your comment I didn't know if you knew that or not but ima try that out ... and these q35s to me are unreal especially now at only 109.99. Had lot of other over ears and these Def are my favorites!!!!
Excellent video! I can only comment on the Soundcore Q30 though. OUTSTANDING! I'm a musician, son of a first generation audiophile, so I have a lot of experience in studios wearing headphones and I've benefitted from a lifetime listening to the best audio possible. The Q30 are absolutely one of the very best headphones I've ever used. I wear mine a minimum of 12-14 hours everyday. Comfortable, off the charts. Using mine for over six months already, I haven't even come close to either running out battery time, or even getting a 'low battery' status report/announcement when turning them on. Which is a terrific added feature. And especially since I don't charge them daily since getting them. The N/C is super, easily blocking out every annoying ambient distraction. A super bonus is the comprehensiveness of the iPhone app. Works terrifically. With video watchers coming here for info on the Q35's (as I did) I'll just end with my highest Q30 endorsement. I don't think I need to upgrade to the Q35s right now, so I'd suggest possible purchasers taking advantage of the lower pricing for the Q30s. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it.
@@insidetechltd I'm glad you liked it. Just being honest which I always am. Especially concerning anything to do with audio. As well, I'm a huge Soundcore fan satisfactorily owning many of their terrific products. I'm subscribing to your channel as soon as I send this. Again, most gracious thanks.
You forget to add the ANC mode on the Q30 do not affect the sound quality of music (some how enhances sound). With other headphones I've owned with ANC it takes some of the sound quality away when activated.
I just bought the q30... Surprising they upgraded the case... It is the same oval casing like q35👍👍😍 Sound is awesome... And the size is perfect... Not bulky as I imaging
Thank you for commenting on this. I just received my Q30 from Amazon yesterday and I have the oval case as well, no molded fitting. Otherwise, all the same. I'm enjoying the Q30 headphones very much!
I was struggling with 30s vs 35s but out of nowhere when searching for both I stumbled upon Q35 for $85 - new, sealed box, from shop exposition - so I just went with it.
and are they any good? - i watched other reviews and got the feeling the ppl making those videos just want ppl to buy products using their afiliate links and dont care about if the products actually are good. - just sent back two other headphones
As a Q30 user and lover, got to say Q35 look VERY good, but still doesn't worth the upgrade. Probably will wait for Q40s or whatever next one is named. Thank you so much for the video!
@@insidetechltd hey man Quick question is the anc on both of the same bc I’m want to get one before I leave to Mexico but I don’t know which one I should get
@@ItzjoshyVQ_37 I think it's the same. I could barely tell a difference at all and I tested these pretty extensively. They didn't advertise improved ANC either so I expect it isn't improved. Hope that helps!
I just got a LifeQ30 headset for the low price of 26 dollars during the Summer Sale. Normal price is 80 dollars. I did have to adjust the EQ via a 3rd parts app on PC, (I don't use Android) but I Love these. Noise Reduction works awesome. Sound is Great like the LifeQ10's I owned for 5 years before these. Those are still working strong btw but the ear cups have gotten damaged over the years.
Dear Anker, I am writing to express my disappointment with your product, the Q30 headphones. After only six months of use, the plastic frame of the headphones cracked. When I reached out to your support team, they claimed it was due to misuse, despite the fact that there are numerous reports of similar issues online. I have tried to resolve this issue by emailing your support team, but have yet to receive a satisfactory response after a month or two. As a customer, I expect better from a company like yours, and I hope that you will take swift action to address this issue. Dont buy this product
Great review... I found this headphones by accident on the internet and now I want them... was going to get the Q30 but when I saw the Q35 I changed my mind... waiting for a promo (maybe blackfriday) but will definitely get one. Thanks for the review... there's not much difference between both of them but I'll probably go for the Q35 if the price drops anytime soon.
Best value for ANC but the audio quality of these is just not that good. The Q30 are often recommended for being cheap, well it shows in their audio output, with bloated, muddy bass and piercing treble.
I watched your review among some others yesterday and I decided to go with the Q30. Since my phone doesn't support LDAC, the pros of the Q35 stop there for me. Q30 has a tougher carrying bag and the pure plastic finish is a big pro for me. I like the looks of pure ABS after years of use. And as nice as the Q35 look with their matte texture when they're new, every device I have that has this finish starts to get sticky after 2 years of use, when the silky finish decays. Also, the Q30s have a seamless padding. And with 57€ for the Q30 vs 139€ for the Q35 , the Q30s were a no brainer for me.
Oddly enough I prefer the old case with the molding inside and the pocket on the side. I prefer the new color of headphones, it's less cheap, but I think there is a special edition of the Q30 with the same color. But seriously I will not advise anyone to pay double for just a codec and especially a low-end case. Good test 👍🏽 Ps: I would have actually preferred the APTX Adaptive to the LDAC.
What I'd ideally love is the shape/size of the Q35 case but with the outer finish of the Q30 case - I think it's more durable. Thank you for watching though! 👊🏼 Interesting to hear another person say about aptX too, that was my suspicion!
My understanding is that the Q30, though not advertised, actually has multi-point too!!!!!!! Let me check... ... ...YES!!!! It absolutely does have multipoint when paired with both my PC and my mobile phone. Very cool.

The Q45 ANC is really good SoundCores best yet Right Up There With My XM3s . The Space Q45 sound while punchy is not as punchy as the Life Q35 In The Bass Department . Recently purchased the q30s Then found the ANC did not work when using the cable. Sent them back and got the q35s. These have all the features needed. And now have a new case as well. Excellent headphones.
I'm not even 1 min into the video, but I'm just hoping you can use them outside, without the tiniest draft making a super loud noise inside the headphones.
My laptop had a bad audio over the 3.5mm jack since upgrading to Windows 11 - whenever You watch something or listen to something and You minimize it the audio starts to crackle every couple of seconds. I did try everything and could not resolve the issue. I did try the audio with my 2nd gen AirPods and it was completely fine so I was in a search for a BT headset. Found the Q20s first but searched for better options. I was deciding between the Q30 and Q35 but the LDAC codec and auto pause feature was enough to convince me to go with the Q35. Can not wait to have them in two days :)
These questions I’m asking for q30 I watch yt videos a lot on my iphone will i face audio latency How much time it takes idle to turn off What is the life of these in india its not that well known so They support multipoint right? By the way thank you for this review
Heads up! The Q30 doesn't work well in wired mode! The headphones turn off when you plug it. You can use it in wired mode but the sound quality is very VERY BAD. The Q30 works good with Bluetooth
you have nothing to say about the firmware (announcement modes) ? this is really killing my experience. the text lines are to long and blocking completely the music. it is very annoying. and it is not changeable to simple 'bip'-sounds... :(
Great video! But you did talk a bit too fast for me. The main thing I need to disagree on is that these headphones REALLY WARM my ears! I'm surprised you did not notice that. They definitely increase the temperature of the ears within 30 minutes. It's pretty tough to wear these for a long time in my experience. Yes they're comfortable, but the temperature increase makes them unbearable after an hour. I'm speaking about the Q30's but I have no doubt the Q35's have this issue too.
I've seen numerous reviews praising these, even tried soundcore buds from friends and what can I say I'm impressed. got the Q30s on sale for 60€, can't wait for them to arrive, I'll be updating this comment with first thoughts and later a review
This is an awesome review!!! Had lot of other headphones sony 100xm3 sennheiser momentum. M2 akg n700nc m2 these q35 are easily my favorite!! Soundwise they go toe to toe with these others once ya eq em anc is better than the others besides sony and on top if sounding phenomenal they also get louder than all of em!!! They're on sale for 109.99 right now and in my opinion are the deal of the year. Having spent over 300 on others and gettin this sound and the features the q35s offer they honestly just make me smile everytime I use them... maybe I just appreciate em more after owning the ones I mention plus some other Jabra 85h beats studio 3 and sony xb900n but these are absolutely awesome!!!!
Soundcore Q20’s are the best headphones money can buy at $60. I’d probably skip both of these and go for their flagship Soundcore Q45’s though.. they are only $30 more than these basically. The Q45’s are built very durable where none of the others are.. that’s why they are worth the extra money.
great review! the most clear and objective review abour the ANC. this is a major issue in my decision to buy a new phone. I work in a place full of disturbing noises (motorcycles, horns, train, neighbor child) and i considering a long list of candidates. I was looking for Q30 but i discovered this new q35. thanks!
Can you use this when running or workout? I mean, does it wear the foams off when exposed to sweat? If yes, are you able to replace the foams specially on the headband?
You can, but I think you will start to wear down the ear pads and Soundcore doesn't seem to provide any official replacement options. Better to get a sweat protected option I think!
Thanks, I'll be getting the q35 and this helps with that decision! I already have the q20 so that would be a great upgrade rather than having a q30 and then buying a q35 as most people said it's not worth it. Also the q20 also have multi-point because I was able to use different devices connected at the same time. I think multi point is a feature for Bluetooth 5 if I recall correctly.
That was more in depth than I was expecting. You gave me details that I need to know and not just specs, like the fact that you'll actually need some battery power to use the inline mic. Great review dude 👍🏽🙌🏽
Great video! I can't profess to be super knowledgeable about tech of any sort but this was super comprehensive, yet easy to follow. I'm considering buying the Q30s (they fit more comfortably within my budget) both for personal use and to use for transcription work. Do you think these would be well-suited for transcription? Also, are you aware of a replacement aux cable I could buy for the q30s that would include an inline remote for play/pause and volume controls?
So i received Q35 yesterday, they are much louder than Q10 if i adjust eq for my needs, less bass but they sound good. Found a couple bad things also, wearing detection can't be turned off, that's one thing. Second- the left earphone is way louder and boomier than right one which is very strange but i feel it right away. Third- ANC is almost a myth, if i turn it On and raise volume the bass starts popping like from broken speakers. Did i get a faulty headphones?
Okay so you should be able to turn off wearing detection in the Soundcore app. But the louder, boomier sound in the left earcup is something I experienced too. The first pair of headphones it was really bad, the second pair it was a bit better. Do you experience this listening in noise cancelling mode? Because for me this only happened in “Transparency” and “normal” modes. As for the broken speaker sound, I’m not sure. It could be faulty headphones. So I’d contact Soundcore to troubleshoot these problems!
I have the Q30s and i can say it's normal to get that bass distortion if you raise the volume at max with ANC on because i have the same "issue". (But i can't hear that distortion if i am wearing the headphones)
So which ones should i get q30 or 35s??is the upgrade worth the extra $$ i really am just reading comments to get a jist of which ones to get. I can afford either or. I have a galaxy A53 android 13 so i know i have ldac. Any suggestion would be nice thank you in advanced.
I got my Life Q30's from Soundcor's Summer Sale for 26 dollars. Normal retail price is 80 bucks. They were an upgrade to my LifeQ10's that I have had for 5 years and are still going strong.
I just watched a RU-vidr who was sponsored by them and loved their products so I decided to look into them. I actually need a new pair of earbuds but I've also have had to admit dissatisfaction with the headphones I have from my "ride or die" brand, Skullcandy, lol. I have their Crusher Evo headphones and love everything audio about them but they *hurt* to wear. You mentioned no pain in the crown of your head with both of the Life headphones and that's what I'm experiencing now. Also, the Crusher's fit tight against my ears, especially the left one, and no matter how I make adjustments, it just hurts. Wearing glasses doesn't help any, but I can't read things or really see in general without them and I'd rather not have to take my glasses off to listen to music. I LOVE Skullcandy and will forever be interested in their new products, but I want some great headphones that aren't too pricey, have good bass (I know these won't be as good as the Crusher's with their Bass Boost slider, but hopefully still decent since they have a dedicated equalizer), and most of all right now, are comfortable. Maybe these Life Q35's are what I've been searching for. Thank you for your very detailed review, you did an amazing job comparing the prior version to the new one and throwing in some similar headphones :)
Thank you! Thank you!!! Finally someone answers the inportant questions!!! I was looking all day for someone to tell me if the NFC starts cold, or if you have to turn on the device beforehand, because it's a deal breaker for me. Thank you again!!
Please can anybody tell me if it's possible to use these headphones just for noise reduction in an airplane or in the street without listening music when we don't want to? Thanks!
@@h.oang0802 Well, as of Today June 6 and for the past 7 days, they are 59,99$ CDN and I bought a pair. Unfortunately, the first one was defective. Had to return it. I ordered a second one and this one is fantastic. The ANC is impressive. I have my AC unit raging all day and when I put the Q20 on for a movie, I hear nothing even not a rumble.
@@racineurr.8924 Thanks! Haven't even bought em yet lol. I just know it's a steal though considering the MSRP. I can find them on Amazon for cheap with a coupon so guess I'll buy em. Thanks!
They must have changed the case for the Q30s since you acquired yours, as mine is similar to the one for the Q35s, but with the same finish as the one for your Q30s. I find the no power version of AUX input is really base heavy when compared to the powered version (which allows the ANC/Transparency modes), it's like it's using a different sound profile. Either way, they're BOTH great sets of headphones 😀
Yeah I’ve heard someone else say that too - probably for the best! Bass heavy? Oh that’s interesting, normally it’s the other way round! But yeah either way, they’re pretty great 🙌🏼
@@insidetechltd Maybe it's not so much that they're bass heavy, just that it's raised in comparison to the default powered profile ("Soundcore Signature"). It's hard to describe the difference, but it's like I'm wearing two very different sets of headphones 😅 Anyway, great review 👍
@@IqbalHossain-vg8vr That's normal, you need power to use ANC and transparency. You can still power them up while wired, and use them that way. I actually find this to give a better listening experience.
Life Q30's I have a room air conditioner window unit 8 feet from me. With noise canceling on I do not hear it or the ceiling fan at all. Good enough for me.
There's barely anything in it to be honest, but I would say that the 35 fit a little bit more securely because the padding is thicker on the headband and the ear cups
Without listening via 3.5 cable you're not getting hi res Audio with Q30 . I use a fiioF BTR3K Bluetooth Receiver with my Q30 and a short 3.5 cable to powered off Q30 and the audio difference is very noticeable. The Q35 still Sounds Better Though
That’s really interesting! I’ve not really seen the forums yet, but it definitely felt to me like these are due a software update (which hopefully would fix it!)
Great review!! Thanks for the detailed explanation and comparison. Does anyone know: 1. Can you listen with ANC on while connected to AUX cable if the battery dies? In other words, can the AUX connection deliver power to the headphones? Is that even a thing in these/ other headphones? 2. Does the Bluetooth connect well to Windows and Mac? 3. Can you control the ANC while connected with AUX cable to Window ANC Mac? Thank you so much

@@insidetechltd I think it's just a matter of proper EQ adjustment. Both headsets are certified for high resolution audio. This is what is said about it: "High-resolution audio (Hi-Res Audio) is a digital audio format that can reproduce sound with greater accuracy and detail than standard audio formats. Hi-Res Audio files have higher sampling rates and bit depths, which means they can capture more information and provide a more lifelike sound experience. This results in a higher dynamic range than is possible with compact disc (CD) quality standards" - and - "Some Soundcore models come with Hi-Res Audio certification, which means they meet the highest standards for audio quality and can produce the most accurate representation of what the artist intended. For example, Soundcore's Life Q10 headphones deliver sound up to 40 KHz for a richer, more nuanced listening experience" - This leads me to believe if adjusted properly they should have the same frequency response.
Thank you so much for reviewing the aux cable in line mic, I was wondering how it sounded because I was planning to buy these to use wired with my PC. Thankfully discord has background noise suppression software built in so I won’t have to worry about background noise as much
It's tough to say, I genuinely think the current price is pretty fair given the market. It's just that the Q30 are insanely cheap now! Means we could see a discount later in the year though 🤞🏼
