I have to say that the X600 is perfectly capable of outdoor use. I've brought to the beach, tubing and more importantly to work with me. I'm a Delivery Driver and I take my X600 with me everyday. One of those days I had to make and emergency maneuver to avoid a car cutting me off. The X600 went flying out of the vehicle at 35 mph as a result. It rolled, tumbled, bounced and slid during its nightmare travels. I stopped and got out fearing the worst. It was still playing music as well as it ever did. It was scratched and had two dents on its corners on the face and gouges on the handle. But that's it. No pieces went flying, the handle didn't budge and even more, protected the controls perfectly. It still looks good despite its scars of war against the pavement at high speed. I would say this is THE most durable speaker I've ever owned and I have owned and do own many. A JBL Boombox, Flip, Charge or even Soundcore's own Motion Boom Plus wouldn't have done so well. I'd say they'd all be destroyed. But not the X600. If you think it's too pretty for outdoor use, I'd give you that. But I did it anyways and it endures against extreme punishment better than any portable Bluetooth speaker to date.
An accurate and informative review. He pointed out that the X-600 will TWS pair to another speaker, but will not party connect to another X-600, something I haven't seen other reviews point out. I appreciated that he correctly said the upward firing speaker makes the speakers sound more open. Unlike the majority of other reviewers on RU-vid, and SoundCore too ,he did say the upward firing speaker create a simulated surround sound or spatial sound. No hyperbole on the reviewers part, nice. I was so pleased with the purchase of my X-600 speaker, that I purchased a second one. I have them TWS paired and separated about seven feet apart inside an average sized room, and to my pleasant surprise, in addition to the expected wide separated stereo effect that you could identify as coming from each speaker; a blended sound stage projected toward me from a point half the distance in between the two speakers, that effect added to the upward firing sound is really nice! If I want to listen to a podcast in two different rooms I simply place each of the TWS paired in each room. Update> Both of my speakers received firmware update 4.3.1 last week. I EQd them both and the sound fidelity is very clean, and note this 👉both speakers are distortion free at high volume. Thanks again for your accurate and complete review.
Just got the 300, EQ-ed it, sounds way better than my UE boom 2 though there are some things I don't love. No shortcut key to skip song (next) which could easily be long press play/pause or double press. No AUX jack, so I don't feel I can get rid of my UE boom just yet because of this since I do use that once in a while
Appreciate the comparison. I'm looking for something to replace my aging Tribit Stormbox and the motion 300 is definitely on my list. I would LOVE to see a comparison between the motion 300 and the new Tribit Stormbox flow. I think for sure one of those 2 will be my next portable Bluetooth speaker. I'm slightly leaning towards another Tribit device tho, as I was super impressed by the Stormbox.
Did you have the upgraded stormbox pro or older that didn't go with their app? I can't find any reviews on the updated version so curious as to what ya had. I'm between the upgraded stormbox pro and this 300. My go to is the tribit blast but need somethin lighter and more portable
Great video as per usual Was curious to know if you were going to review Sennheisers newly announced “ACCENTUM” headphones. They’re mid range headphones that replace the HD450bt’s
Pointless doing sound tests for the x600 as there are at least 8 different tunings out there. At least tell people what firmware you are using so they know what you are testing.
I replaced my Bose SoundLink III with the SoundCore X600. It’s a little large for some uses so I just ordered the 300 to check out. Would you say the 300 is almost as good as the very old (and heavier) Bose SoundLink III?
If u get Oluv's EQ settings, and activate LDAC, the 300 sounds awesome. Great little speaker. Not as wide sounding, but better than the Motion plus with updated firmware and EQ'd.
I have both. Activated LDAC in the app, got EQ's on deck for the 300 (thanx Oluv), and it sounds much better to me than the plus. I had reservations because they are both 30 watts and the plus is good, but the 300 sounds better. The soynd is "wider" on the bigger plus, but not better. The 300 my new favorite speaker. Haven't tested it outside yet, but I use the Boom 2 outside anyway. Get the 300 and tune it. U won't regret it.
