I now have a set under my turntable and a set under the phono stage and can really say they do make a difference. It is hard to describe for me, but certainly the bass improved and the sound itself is crisper, really noticeable. And compared to other products very reasonably priced.

Thank You for recommending these - they are fab! I bought a set of four, I put three under my Pro-Ject Debut Pro (already mounted on a pukka wall-mounted turntable shelf) and one under my phono stage. The increase in quality is remarkable! Greater clarity, 'air', timbral accuracy and bass weight and extension. The whole system now sounds more coherent and musically informative. Very pleased :)) I will order a second set for my Audiolab CD transport when they are back in stock again.

Good info as always! Regarding your hesitation you have giving this product a score, I am of the opinion, if you’re going to take the time to review any product it’s worth giving your viewers your overall rating. It’s very important to me and I would think a majority of your audience. I will be adding these to my system in due time. ✌️

Based on your review I had a chat with Les and will be trying them under my speakers. He was very helpful and looking forward to hearing if they make an impact. So thanks for the review and introduction to a new product.

It’s nice to see Les making an appearance in the Comments section and offering help when needed. I wish more HiFi companies would do the same thing. After all, they know I’m posting a review.

Interesting product. For a while I’ve been using cork discs, 3.5” diameter and 3.75mm thickness, and what you’re describing is similar to what I heard using cork discs. One thing that is notable is how cheap the cork is- I bought a pack of 30 discs for $15 - It would be really interesting to compare the soundeck discs to the cork discs.

Thanks Paul, I will give them a try . I honestly have not found anything better than a snall innertube under my equipment but turntables are are right pain to keep level using innertubes

I use 3 inch diameter rubber laboratory stoppers under a slab of granitse under my turntable, and DiversiTech E.V.A. anti-vibration pads, 2” x 2” x 7/8” under other stuff. The pads are quit are inexpensive ($3-5 ea). These pets are worth a try, and if you don’t like them you can put them under your washing machine

For a real treat, place a disc on top of electronics. Try this in addition to, or in place of, using them underneath.

I wouldn't advise adding them to your cup of tea, however, They do *not* dissolve. I tested them at 80, 90 and 100 degrees (boiling) and was disappointed that the circumference was maintained even after 10, 20 and 30 minutes of agitation. I did question the company about this but - disappointingly - have yet to receive a reply.

I am forced due to space to have my turntable on the same surface as my speakers would you recommend this to help with damping any vibration or is a full isolation platform for my turntable a better option.

Interesting. At first I thought these were just another sorbothane pad (available everywhere on Amazon cheap), but the tech on these is interesting. Not too pricy either.

My Linn has a trampoline baseboard and sits on a Target wall shelf on spikes. When I asked my dealer he said that is enough isolation and you can have too much. I am no expert so what do you think Paul? I may try a set under my phono amp though. I also asked a Linn dealer about record stabilisers and how much weight my Linn could handle before resetting the suspension as you advised me to do on your Origin Live review. They said Linns recommendation is not to use one at all. I have the tinkering bug at the moment so I am re watching a lot of your RU-vid videos and I am loving it.

These mini's seem to be what I'm looking for to go under my CD player (where there's currently only 10 mm of free space between glass shelves. I might try them under my speaker spikes in due course (as my spikes sink,perhaps too well, into the plush carpets.

An update. I have had a set of 8 feet bought for my birthday. Fitted them under my speakers. The problem I have is that they span across the gaps in my floorboards which makes them uneven so I have had to use the spikes to keep them level because they are adjustable. Paul recommended that I remove them (spikes ) also with the spikes fitted they tend to slide around easily as the feet are metal. The feet pack contain some sticky small pads not sure where to fit them or if to leave them out. Does anyone know of a solution.. I was thinking of fitting blocks of wood on the floorboards leveled up by using bluetak underneath or pieces of slate cut to size for the footprint of the speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great review as always Paul. Sounds like another bargain too! Have you tried them under spike less floor standers? I stopped using spikes a long time ago as my Castle Howard’s end up being coupled to the carpeted wooden floor. Not a good thing at all. Coupled (sic) with the fact that there’s a four foot basement underneath 😱

Not a big fan of spikes either, Dermot. I've been using speaker feet by Blue Horizon for a while - habit, really - but I must try the Soundeck feet under there now you've nudged me :) Right now, I use these Soundeck feet under my turntable, DAC and CD transport.

@@TheAudiophileMan Ah I remember Blue Horizon! Another observance, if you don’t mind Paul, surely those Soundeck DF MK.II’s deserve the full 10/10 especially as they’re terrific value for money and also enhance the sonics too. Curious to know why you resisted the temptation to award them the Golden Groovy accolade…….

Almost missed this one :) 10/10 is reserved for revolutionary products. Products that don't just improve on what's go before but write a new script. 8/10 ratings are my equivalent on a full score in a mag, a five star rating, if you will. A 9/10 goes above and beyond that and has to be special in a particular way - the new Minis may just qualify :)
@cybot6
@cybot6 Год назад
@@TheAudiophileMan Thanks for that Paul. I must make a copy of it for future reference in case I go all boggle eyes the way I used to with Martin Collom’s rather peculiar rating system. Don’t worry Paul yours are infinitely easier to comprehend 🤓

Will look to grab some of these soon. Would you recommend these instead of isolation feet? Also, is it worth using these instead of an isolation platform or as well as? Great video as always, Paul. 👍
@TheAudiophileMan
@TheAudiophileMan Год назад
Hi Mick, these are isolation feet. They do the same job. And more the merrier. There’s no one silver bullet when tackling vibration, high-frequency noise, etc. What you should aim for is a basket of varied tools so the more isolation the better.

Very interesting video. l am considering using these to fit under my old Monitor Audio BR4 floor standing speakers. My question is. Would it be best to remove the spikes before fitting the minis. They are currently sitting on wooden floorboards in a single floor extension and are tending to exhibit bass boom . The spikes are sitting in small cheap metal spike cups. To me it sounds like the whole wooden floor is acting like an extension to the lower register's of the speakers. They need isolating from the floor.it would seem. Maybe I should just get some stand mounts to prevent the room from being overdriven. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Enjoying your video's.
@lesliethompson6013

try with and without the spikes, my feeling is the DF's will be more effective when in contact with the floorboards and the speaker cabinet.

@@lesliethompson6013 Thanks. I will as you have suggested try them both ways. I’ll start with the spikes attached as that is easier.

I haven't touched them, Dermot. If they were previously on for you and then they are not, then I'm not too sure why that might be. Something on your interface perhaps? Sometimes RU-vid does take a little while to generate subtitles so it may be a time thing.
