I remember when this came out. My local radio station hyped it up all day, saying they had the first new Soundgarden song in close to forever. When it finally premiered I loved it within the first few bars. The perfect comeback song.

Everybody keeps mentioning Chris. He is gone, and that is a tragedy. But Sound Garden as a band was so much greater than the sum of its individual members. They are all great musicians in their own right. But when they come/came together as Sound Garden, something magical happened. This magic (in my opinion) never happened in any other arrangement. Audio Slave was also a great supergroup. They definitely put out amazing songs. But Sound Garden offered a depth and complexity that I'm not sure I have heard before or since. This song is great because it is a Sound Garden song. That's my opinion anyway. And for the record, I started exploring this album after hearing "Bones of Birds" covered by Lauren Stockner and Seth Romano. Their cover was great, and when I checked out the original I was blown away. Honestly, I had not bothered to listen to anything on King Animal either. But I am glad I discovered it.

Chris' voice is stuck in my head. I wont let it out either.

If ever a song deserved to be played at 11 this is thath song...

Having grown for the last 16 years I find this to be a perfect next step in the progression of Soundgarden. This is by far some of the better music I've heard in the last 10 years.

SoundGarden is one of those bands that with RARELY exceptions ALL the members are top level musicians, just like the Beatles or PinkFloyd, where all the members were talented and multifaceted. The bassist (Ben Shepherd) is a monster, the drummer (Matt Cameron) is a killer, the guitarist (Kim Thayil) is breathtaking in the tuning and complexity of the riffs, and Cornell sings like a God of Olympus, as well as playing very well, it's a band that has everything in terms of music, composition, chords, sonority, it's like a classical music show where the Maestro is rock n roll.

The whole energy in this song and bands that had that mojo destroys the fakeness of RU-vid and all other media driven machines. Hey people...remember gigs without phones etc? Those days were memorable...

This song is enormous. The video adds a layer of haunt that is indescribable.

Chris said that this album would be picking up from where that they stopped, it sure does sound like this. I'm more than happy to say that Soundgarden is still Soundgarden :)

It's great to have them back. 2/08/13 at the paramount in Seattle. I saw them there in 88 with Jane's Addiction & Mother Love Bone. The new album is strong.

I love soundgarden. I really like this song. When I heard it on a recent episode of SOA, I thought to myself, "Soundgarden is going out of its way to sell itself" Then I heard "Fell on Black Days" on an ep of Supernatural and I thought, "At least they're sellin" the old with the new" Soundgarden is my absolute favourite band of all time and I can't wait to see them Feb 10th at the Queen E.

I was born in 91' and am a fan of these "grunge bands" as the media would say. I've been in love with soundgarden since my older brother showed them to me when I was 9. I was glad to be around to listen to audioslave when they came out. To me chris has one of the best voices for rock as of now. I love anything he puts out. it usually means its going to be badass, aslo love his cover of billie jean. sadly music today sucks. thats why Im so thankful they are reunited and gave us some new true music. people say they don't sound like the old garden' but I don't think they lost a touch. chris lyrics are still amazing, and live to rise was a great song. It made sitting through the avengers credits worth it

What upsets me is how awesome this song is. It feels like Soundgarden for sure. But it doesn't feel old. And then the rest of the album just doesn't live up. I mean, we can talk about being a true fan and all that nonsense. But, honestly, true fan is a stupid term I only hear tossed around when a band puts out bad material and someone in denial is trying to convince him/herself and everyone else that it's not that bad. I really like this song.

15 years is faaaaaaar toooo long!

Rest in peace chris, I've been reminiscing over all the songs and bawlin pretty much the entire time. Wish I had gotten a chance to see Soundgarden in person

Song was pretty cool. Video is ok. All I could think of during the part with the dogs was how utterly non-threatening they looked. The both of them just looked happy, like they were chasing her going "hey new friend, you run fast! I'm gonna catch you though!"

How could I make that statement if I hadn't? I listen to them at the very least every week, I own most of their music (I buy and support all my favorite artists) and enjoy it very much, grew up singing it. I will also be buying this one. I love Audioslave too for the record.
