Apart from those unbelievable vocals this version has something the studio version truly lacks - incredible drumming by Matt fucking Cameron!

The vocals are even more insane in this version. Goddamn.

This band and each musician is so astonishing we forget how amazing Chris’s lyrics are. He’s got like an extra deck of cards at the poker game.

Oh man, this "Ultramega EP" sounds like what I always wanted Ultramega OK to be. I still look forward to hearing the LP remix.

SoundGarden is one of those bands that with RARELY exceptions ALL the members are top level musicians, just like the Beatles or PinkFloyd, where all the members were talented and multifaceted. The bassist (Ben Shepherd) is a monster, the drummer (Matt Cameron) is a killer, the guitarist (Kim Thayil) is breathtaking in the tuning and complexity of the riffs, and Cornell sings like a God of Olympus, as well as playing very well, it's a band that has everything in terms of music, composition, chords, sonority, it's like a classical music show where the Maestro is rock n roll.

I actually like how in this version he stays at pretty much the same volume in the verse so when the chorus hits it’s that much more shocking/satisfying.

i saw soundgarden perform this song live at budweiser stage in toronto when they were on tour with nin. when they played this song, they literally broke the sky.. it started pouring, like torrential rain for the whole song. when the song ended, the rain stopped and the sky turned pink and purple as they went into black hole sun. it was the most acid trip surreal thing i've ever witnessed. anyone who saw this show from the lawns can verify this. totally unreal

Chris was better than 99% of vocalists, why so much comparison to Halford, Dio and Plant, he crushes them all.
