Look at some of his shirtless photos..OMG!!! He should have made to wear only a loin cloth and nothing else..He was beautiful Head to toe...Damn..you don't see very many guys walking around ANYWHERE looking like he did...R.I.P. Gorgeous one..
JADE GIRL Girl u got that right! He was beautiful. If I was married to him I'd never let him out of the bedroom. He was prolly the hottest man on the planet.
I love how the interview starts off fine, and as the night goes on, Chris gets progressively drunker. Like he's all shy at first, then he's hopping around behind Rikki. Too Funny
“Grunge” was never a real thing. It was a term foisted on the world by media. The only thing any of the bands who got labeled as “Grunge” has in common was that they were all from Seattle. None of them sounded alike. I don’t understand how people still don’t understand this...
@@kevinmurtagh4996 facts..punk rockers in seattle called it punk..metal guys called it hard rock metal..it's basically hard rock just with trashy grungy guitar sounds
Sitting through the boring parts of this was worth it to see Chris Cornell's silly side. I love when he mocks Riki behind his back when he's talking! It's also funny when he covers his eyes and pops out from behind Riki at the end. Unfortunately, I had stopped watching Headbanger's Ball when this was on TV (after I had been annoyed by too much Riki!), so THANKS for posting this!
The members of SG has never taken themselves too seriously and didn't allow success to get to their heads and are over all nice guys.I miss CC and hopefully the remaining (former at this time) SG members will receive the audio files w/ Chris's vocals in order to release one more studio album!!!
Rest Peacefully Chris, you're deeply missed, but your voice and music will live on, many prayers to your lovely children and wife, may God bless them with the strength to move forward, your children are the focus now
@@theseattlegreen1871 Doesn't matter to me, it's the only way I knew how to pay my last respects to a legend that made a difference in my youth.. go be a smart ass elsewhere
I loved this video , headbangers ball in seatle these guys was so cute, Ben was tall & skinny, Kim was so kool , course matt was to & Chris Cornell was adorable, long live soundgarden if C.C. is singing ,
It always seemed that back in those days the guys in Soundgarden always gave interviewers a hard time. Getting information out of them was often tough....they were so standoffish but cool. I love them so very much
What a brilliant interview. Riki is a smooth interviewer and puts everyone at ease naturally. The guys were so relaxed and funny. Kim kicked ass bowling 🤣 Loved seeing the Aussie $20 note towards the end - we haven’t had paper notes for years so it was a kick to see Chris took one home and still in his wallet. 💪🏼
Why does everyone have to hate on Riki? He seems pretty down to earth and has a way of getting along with the guys. They were having a good time. Made a good interview.
i don't get any feeling Chris was annoyed by Riki. I think he liked him. Dunno why everyone's bashing this announcer. He is kinda cute in that munster kid way
I don’t think he’s that bad, but as someone who wasn’t there during interviews just a viewer, it seems like Riki either tries to downplay band members’s jokes (or they go over his head) either way, if you catch it, he does come off as a jerk. It’s like he’s the only one who can make jokes cuz he’s the host / the band’s shouldn’t be joking when he asks them questions. I don’t know, I’ve seen so many awkward moments like that, especially with Alice In Chains. I don’t really know what his deal is.
@@Raddrizz dude i always swore he had compromising photos of some bigwig he must have blackmailed to get the cool jobs he got. Despite being the world's biggest tool!
@@BodaciousCake I like how Alice In Chains worked with him though bc Riki would be a dickhead and then they flipped the joke around to make him look stupid
Chris waved at me on one of the back streets of Nashville in 97 after a show. He looked really wasted, will never get over the loss of such talent. He didn't stop to talk and went on in the bus but talked with Kim and Matt for about 15 minutes, down to Earth guys.
Ah, the good ole days back when Chris was alive! Although Kurt died a month later. But at least the rest of the bands were still around. The Seattle Scene!
That story is well known now. Chris tells it all the time in his accoustic shows or with TOTD. It was a title written by Jeff Ament on a cassette sleeve on the set of the movie Singles. Chris took the titles and wrote the songs, recorded them and put it on the set like it was magic! And it sure was; the Jeff's song titles that became Chris' songs were: Season, Flutter Girl, Spoonman and Missing.
Chris is the sweetest here. He Will always be missed in our hearts. We’re lost without an direction now when he’s gone. We love you Chris wherever you might be ❤️
This was right before Kurt died. March 1994. He was just down the road at his lake washington home here. Isolated. Then off to Exodus later. Wish he didn't do that.
Riki was always such a fucking poser. Whatever the "in-scene" was at a given time, he would quickly adopt the uniform and act like he'd always been hip to it. I fucking hated that twerp back in the day.
Yeah tell me about it man, he was easily the exact definition of a "poser". I'm not one to use that term so liberally either, but when it comes to a guy who slips in and out from punk to poodlehead to thrash to grunge at the exact times they were popular, then I can't think of a more perfect word to suit a tool like that. It's like find a fuckin identity and stick with it, what's the big deal.
Remember when he started wearing flannel and cut all his hair off like a month after Nevermind came out, all of sudden Grunge became the central focus of his show..
I realize that this interview was 23 years before his passing, and that a lot can happen in those 23 years, but he just doesn't seem like a person who would commit suicide.
I was in rehab during soundgardens last australian tour.. I never got to see them ever. I feel a void in my chest when i think about missing that concert since chris died.
he probably would have. people in the industry usually gets copies of the albums first. since kurt admitted to being a fan of soundgarden and one of his inspirations, he would have loved superunknown.
