Chris knows that guy is having him sign that stack of pick guards to put on guitars and then sell them on ebay as guitars signed by Chris, yet he is still generous enough to sign a couple and allow the guy to make a bit of money off the back of him. Its people like this who ruin it for real fans when they want to approach and artist to chat a minute or have a photo or sign something. Because of these douches many artists are not as keen.

That was the most patient and generous celebrity/fan moment I've seen. No pretense at all. Just so giving. Celebrities today bitching about taking selfies with fans and how they feel used etc need to learn from the late Chris Cornell.
gigglyme2001 I recently read that Jennifer Lawrence is apparently proud of how rude she is to fans. She, and many others, could learn from him. I wouldn't be as kind as Chris was in indulging these jerks who were just getting him to sign stuff for eBay, but a minute with a genuine fan or three would not kill these rude celebrities nowadays. They shouldn't have their time monopolized by fans and the paparazzi is certainly disgusting, but a real moment here and there probably means so much to a real fan.

That’s people from LA for ya, these people are creatures that camp in their cars at LAX and wait for famous people to sign things so they can immediately sell it. i.e. the guy with a stack of pick guards to be signed, showing he doesn’t really care about anything else but getting as much money as he can.
Some of them seemed like they just wanted stuff signed so they could sell it , they didn't even seem like they cared they were meeting him. He probably noticed that to, that's kind of sad.
Those guitars were completely new, he noticed it for sure, they were gonna sell them, such ""fans"", i always deduced he was the most intelligent one, compared to Layne and Kurt, Eddie is still a timid person, he was the most conscious of himself, never being an impulsive person as far as i've seen, if he was high he never did it on stage, being famous, doing drugs and mainly being an extremely sensitive person can't be a conbination, such a shame.

Their behavior was creepy/intrusive enough; I don't think people should have ANY expectations of "hugs" from strangers, just because they "idol worship" them or whatever. He was MORE THAN generous, and none of them even genuinely cared or thanked him or expressed any gratitude for all his amazing music.
