I just woke up and I'm wearing my Soundmajic e80's with 3.5 connection , no mic. I turn on my phone and here you are doing a review of another version. These are some of my all time favorites. In the day I use my Mangird Tea mk2's and when I put on the e80's for night time ( great for sleeping on my side )they sound great. I hear all the music beautifully and podcasts I can hear speaking very clearly. Easy to drive , plenty of volume . I've had these over 3 years. Many others iem's have come and gone but these keep on going. I got these for $20. $35 now. Yesterday I was looking to get an extra set. I don't know about technicalities or soundstage , they just sound real good for ambient music at medium volume. Even with rock music nothing is lacking. Enough bass, clear vocals, no sibilence. I love these earphones even after wearing my $500 pair . If these were the only set I owned I could certainly live with that.
@@VortexReviews1 To activate the quad dac, you need headphones with a 32ohm (or higher) impedance and SoundMagic's earbuds were some of the only ones available with that high of an impedance
Soundmagic sure is a blast from the past, I remember back when the e10 were considered the best budget set. I used to own the e30 which were slightly more expensive I think? The industry has definitely changed a lot since then, cheaper sets have much better sound and build quality nowadays. Still, I remember the reviews for the original e80 were good, I would expect these to be decent for the price.
hi great review! i have a quick question. Are these Mac compatible with MacOS Sonoma? I've read that USB C headphones have issues working on Macs, just wanted to know for sure before buying them. Thanks!
e80 the original is great .... but for the love of god is that cable CRAP .... 2 years in and my ones are peeling away, and seems like its that for all of them ...
