This a very misleading video, it shows the effect on higher pitch frequencies that is indeed quite strong, but not the effect on the more real world mid/lower frequencies (eg the street noise in the beginning), which probably are not blocked as much.

We never mislead or misinform our viewers and customers. Our soundproof curtain blocks up to 70% of sounds transmitting from the windows, and as per HAL Science and MDPI, 80% of urban traffic sounds are high frequency, i.e., above 2000 Hz. Showing us how many db it blocks off for a high pitched sound is non-representative of a real world scenario.

What's that, like 4 Khz? Traffic noise frequency varies between 300 and 1000 Hz that will punch through this nonsense like it's nothing. Low frequency traffic noise goes through a brick wall easily.

@@mmtacoustix2328 It's an understatement, you need new windows to somewhat improve the soundproofing of a room. The best triple glazed windows are capable of 51 dB soundproofing at 500 Hz and 30 dB at 100 Hz, we are talking about acoustic noise that are easier to block than impact noise. A normal sized window like that costs above $3000 now. If you are dealing with noise above 90 dB and lower than 200 Hz then it's only going to improve it but not solve the problem and certainly not enough against sudden or impact noise. You'll spend $3000 and realize that the noise is still very much there, just more muffled. You just can't cancel it out effectively without huge mass or larger distance. The walls in my old house were 20" thick (52 cm) and traffic noise was still noticeable on the side of the house where weren't any windows, just solid brick wall with insulation. Nothing is going to protect against that, especially on a wall that has large windows. The best solution is moving, dealing with anxiety caused by too much noise is devastating for the mental and physical well being. Just move, even if it's difficult.

That is some weak high frequency noise anything will block, the reall issue is low frequency noise from trucks, cars, planes, construction, and bass that these do nothing for.
