Thanks for these tips! I was stuck and couldn't get connected. The tip to use the Performance DMX Pads did the trick!

What do I do if the Virtual DJ in the top left corner is not gray? Mine didn't light up like yours did.

@@afrodje-nice5625 Honestly, I fixed it, but I don't remember how. Because this problem happened over a year ago. It may have been in the VDJ settings . But it was a year ago. Sorry. I contacted Soundswitch and they helped figure it out.

If you are streaming Tidal within VDJ does soundswitch work with these songs? Do they need to be added to favorites? How do you customize the light show with these tracks? The only documentation regarding tidal seems to be with serato.

Hey Kai, Sorry about the lack of info on streaming services. Yes tracks played from streaming services will work, but only with the Autoloops feature. All streaming services are supported.

A spent hours and days trying to get virtual DJ to connect to soundswitch turns out. don't select the auto the option select yes that was the problem

I am afraid, my laptop cant handle videomixing plus soundswitch without dropouts etc. I use the mcx8000. Is there a way to use a second laptop only for soundswitch or another way, so i dont have to use VDJ and SS on the same pc? Thank yall!

When using the MCX8000 with StageLinQ the only way to run the setup is using a second laptop. So yeap this will work.

Hi, thanks for these perfect videos. I have a problem with autoscripted tracks and the attribute cues. If I play the autoscripted track in soundswitch the attribute cues are working (derby rotation, jb systems diamonds rotations) BUT if I play in VDJ the autosrcripted track ignore the rotations of the attribute cues. The rest works . What can I do? Greetings Uwe

@@soundswitch4427question regarding mashing Virtual DJ & SoundSwitch together. When I make a virtual playlist in Virtual DJ and they are songs with music videos attached; why can’t I find the music playlist folder in SoundSwitch so that I can autoscript? I’ve traced the saved paths and they are correct, I’ve also been able to do this with songs that don’t have music videos attached (iTunes) with great success. I’m stomped what am I missing?

I did every step but the Virtual DJ on the top left never showed gray so not connected ?? I check OS2l in auto then set up vdj and auto connect in Preference on SS i don’t have a gigbar so i selected blank venue and New venue and VDJ never is highlighted?? Btw in performances mode my lights works well when changing colours on SS Btw I have SS 2.3 and vdj21

I am having the same problem... All latest versions. I followed the video directions exactly and I cannot get the Virtual DJ to turn gray. The only difference at the moment is that I don't yet have the Soundswitch USB Interface...I am trialing the software to help decide which USB DMX Interface to buy. Would really appreciate any help, cos I am leaning towards the Soundswitch software, but not if I can't get the two programs connected. Please Help Guys!!!!!

LOL.. SO SO SORRY.... I should have watched the whole video first. Regarding the pad buttons and also the firewall. Looks like Soundswitch will be a go for me.

Hi! I have vdj 2021and the latest soundswitch (28dec 2021 download) and they won't connect. For vdj i have a home user licence (numark mixtrack pro 2 controller licence) . Please help! I followed the steps...os2l, vdj autoconnect....but they don't.

Where can you buy those 2 dmx mini 'desk' lights?

@@michaelbrennert8805 yes SoundSwitch can control Philips HUE lights.

As a note any Philips hue lights that are supported (spoiler it's only the official Philips branded lights, not the "works with hue" lights. Though thats still like a 100.) will only use the master sound switch show timeline.
