Got to love and respect Dez for being so honest "drugs". Simple one word and so happy to see them back together. One of the most underappreciated bands out there
Wow drugs really took a tole on these guys, they look it. I'm just glad they got clean and sober and glad Dez got everyone back together so they can tare it up again. So now we got 2 badass bands to listen to from Dez, we got DevilDriver which I can't wait till they release a new album, and we got CoalChamber back from the dead and ready to rip it up.
I've fucking had it with people saying mean things about Dez and about coal chamber and if you don't have anything nice to say then don't don't say anything at all damn it and Dez isn't a freak he is gothic this is why i hate you tube some times too many mean and hate full comments.
I love coal chamber! I saw coal chamber for the first time in Dallas at Ozzfest! It was their first run on Ozzfest I honestly can't remember if it was "96" or "97" but I do know Manson and Pantera was on the bill and Ozzy played a solo set and Black Sabbath closed the show!! I think it was the first time Black Sabbath had played together all 4 original members and when Sabbath played (btw the show was at the Coca Cola Star Plex in Dallas)( don't know what it's called now, but this place is huge it's an amphitheatre capacity is at least 50k 60k ) when they played "War Pigs" it was dark but I could see the clouds roll in and a full moon 🌩️ lightning ⚡ in the background and in the crowd of 50/60k+ people had literally built bonfires all throughout the crowd at least 7/10 and they were all on 🔥 fire 🔥... It was absolutely exquisite unbelievable, probably one of the coolest most perfect rock n roll moments ever!! Sorry got off track talking about Coal Chamber... One other thang first.. I do remember being so bummed and upset that for some reason Manson cancelled or whatever the reason they didn't perform that night..Manson I wanted to see more than anyone but I still would have gone for Pantera and Ozzy Black Sabbath etc... Also this was the very first year of Ozzfest. I had heard of Coal Chamber but didn't know anything about them what they sounded like looked like .... Really most of the crowd and everyone I went with (my band my best friends a big ol entourage of us drove a caravan from Wichita Ks to Dallas) So I'm not sure who was on the mainstage when we got there but apparently I didn't care to see them.. but on the second stage Coal Chamber was getting ready to play so we got to the second stage and they come out and the first song they play is "Loco" and their stage presence is their look was so cool and exciting.. They were so young. I remember they play the intro to "loco" and right before Dez does his breathing GO before they kick in.... The whole band just stood there in these creepy stances and did not move didn't blink they just started at the crowd for at least 90 seconds way longer then how they perform it now.. and you don't know what's about to happen, remember 90% of the crowd never heard coal chamber.. then Dez still not moving starts to smile and his eyes get big and his smile gets bigger the suspense is really killing the crowd and we all want it to last... Then Dez stops smiling then goes ushhpGO!!!! and they go nuts it was amazing the Bass player Rayna is slamming on the ground landing on her knees jumping back up her knees are all bruised and bloody like she does this every night.. Dez was just so sexy and spooky and he kept smiling all creepy and screaming like a man banshee in heat!! The drummer and guitar they were even more crazy their movements while they play is how you are supposed to move when you are totally embodying the music and energy and when a band is truly locked in together it's a beautiful thing and they were so badass!! My favorite performance of the day and became a life long fan!!!! Pantera was awesome I had seen Pantera a dozen times at that point but I do remember Pantera being so Fucking loud it actually hurt I was afraid my ears were going to pop!!!! Lol. That was an amazing day!
Is it some kinda rule that, if you start a band with a chick bass player, and she were to leave the band, you must always replace her with another chick? And with that hair, facial features, and stupid ass face stripe, Rascòn looks like WWE wrestler Asuka's older sister.
Man, it's been a long time since I've heard of Coal Chamber, and they look awesome right now, except for Rayna no longer in the band, that really sucks.
CC was my shit back in '97 - '98, so glad to see theses guys back together! They had some brutally heavy songs that were catchy and to the point. They were pioneers in the nu metal genre.
And i hope they come back with a stronger and better but keep with the original soundbase you know what i mean? The comeback bands that made new albums that i have listened to so far kinda suck except for The cars they have one kickass new song but the other bands like Soundgarden and Pearl jam sound like they have changed and forgot their roots and The misfits new album sounds kinda like coal chamber but with a faster punk sound added now i'm just waiting for rancid to see if they are the same.
The new album is going to be SICK. I can just feel that from the vibe in this interview, like they all feel like this is the right time to be back together.
That's funny, when I first saw Meegs I thought: Adam Ant!!! They literally started where they left off. I have a live picture of them back in the day touring for Dark Days with Dez wearing that same shit... same Bauhaus shirt with the chalk powder and everything. I'm so pumped, these guys were my favorite band back in the day. Marilyn Manson has filled that void since then and I was really happy to hear that Marilyn Manson invited them out to Soundwave. Amazing.
I think it is a GOOD IDEA but your prospective is ALL OFF! Grown up freaks nees a refi.ed style! You need a fashion / costume designer YESTERDAY! You also got to really judge yourself in the mirror because you are changed people!
It's good to see they have all made up and are friends again. It truly warms my heart to see them smiling and happy about being friends again. That alone makes it all worth it. Friends... that's what it's all about. :) That said, COAL CHAMBER RULES!!!!
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE just realeased a reunion album from their tour earlier this and added a few new songs and if you get the bonus edition (The one with the DVD) there are music videos on it (a few old ones and new ones of the same music video to show the differences)And they sound amazing like they got their spirit/energy back into their music but it was just a reunion tour that happens every 10 years so Coal Chamber getting back together with a new bassist is something to look,
Front barrier for these guys in Brisbane... Fuck man, these guys have not lost it. I was a little young when these guys were first around, but listened to their music, and was blown away! Very proud to say I've seen Coal Chamber live!
Saw them at Eatons Hill and Soundwave the next day FUCKIN AMAZING been listening to these guys from a very young age now to be able to have seen them live makes my year fucking EPIC!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! when did this happen!!!!! DUDE< i had tickets back in ... 03 i think but DEZ and Meegs got into it the night b4 in San Antonio and that was the end :( , i never thought !!!! @__@!!!!!!
see hellyeah this is the shit. DEZ is one of the MAN......... freakin love these guys, dam miss those coal chamber days! dam \m/ 90's were the best!!! But ...now lmao, was just about to say how come they aint talking bout Rayna of what happened, then at 10:24 finally , but then hey what did happen DEZ just srugged off, huh? can't replace the Originals........\m/ but weird (what did happen to Rayna?!) but keep kickin ass \m/
The story that was told is that she wanted to be home with her kids. The father, he then husband, drummer for Sevendust was touring. Idk, that's just what was said a lot.
